I cannot watch Alex Jones. He is a total f'ing d-wad. Look him up...
"Known for Advocacy of: conspiracy theories, including New World Order
theories; anti-world government; national sovereignty".
He is not a scientist. His only concern is money. In his opening sentences,
he states that his concern is (only) that his kids not have to pay "global
taxes". What the f?
As for Lord Penis Breath, "James Hoggan and Richard Littlemore note in their
book 'Climate Cover-Up: The Crusade to Deny Global Warming' that Monckton
has 'no training whatsoever in science', and criticize his asserted
credentials as 'unfounded self-promotion.'" Yep, the British f'er is not
even a scientist.
So, you have a video of some loud-mouth non-scientists talking about
something about which they really know nothing.
Regardless of what a few scientists and their 'evil' email exchanges
demonstrate, there is NO controversy that climate change is happening. The
only question is, to what extent are humans contributing to it. Why people
like Jones think that there is a conspiracy is beyond me. What could
POSSIBLY be the point of having a conspiracy?
It does sound like those emails have an inappropriate dialogue about
deleting "important" email messages. But there is way too much partial
information circulating to draw any kind of conclusion. Also, this involves
a few scientists, not the entire scientific community.
It would be absolutely foolish to think that human activities have no effect
on the atmosphere. If you go to any big city, you can observe smog. Smog is
pollution that affects our atmosphere. How could that kind of pollution not
affect life on Earth? (e.g. the climate, the air we breath, rainfall, etc.)
it stands to reason that we should CHANGE some of our activities to reduce
the negative impact that we are having on the enviroment. Why stupid
assholes like Jones want to say otherwise is beyond my comprehension. The
only possible explanation is that they want people to watch their TV show
and listen to them on the radio. If there really was a conspiracy, he would
be dead. He should be shot and I would be happy to do it or perhaps I will
burn him at the stake. Maybe I will start my own conspiracy. People should
spend their energy trying to SOLVE PROBLEMS and not running their mouths
saying that there is no problem.
XXXXXXXX, the only brainwashing and mistruth that is happening is by guys like
Jones. You should not watch them because THEY are the ones misleading you.
All they care about is fame and money. Beware of any web site that claims IT
is the source of truth. That's what religions do and they are all BS
conspiracies, too. No religion is THE truth.
Even if the Real Scientists who have evidence of climate change are WRONG,
it would be stupid, stupid, stupid to ASSUME that they are wrong. If we act
on their suggestions and they ARE wrong, then no harm will come of it. If we
believe dumb@$$ mother f'ers like Alex Jones and DO NOTHING and then the
scientists ARE RIGHT, then my grandkids will DIE from starvation.
It is utterly foolish to argue about whether or not climate change is
happening and whether or not humans are affecting it. While we d*** around
with those converstions, the lifespan of the human race is probably getting
shorter and shorter.
No, XXXXXXX, that web site and that video are not about truth. They are
evidence that paranoid people feel powerless and compensate by talking
loudly on the Internet. That is all, nothing more.

I agree with your pal...pollution is bad. I agree with some posters below that Alex Jones is a bit over-the-top for my personal taste in reporting...but I hear his message and concur.
I have not had any luck what-so-ever in "discussing" REAL issues with Barry supporters; somehow, they click off and don't hear anything....perhaps eugenics isn't such a bad idea after all.....LOL

to have a rational argument with someone who opens their case with "f'ing d-wad" or "lord penis breath". That shows me that they operate from emotions and name calling rather than facts and logic. I won't even attempt to discuss things with folks like that.

Stop using Alex Jones on Climate change issues
His views are so extreme that most people will just be turned off.
There are plenty of credible scientists that have been talking about the issue.
Try sticking to specific issues - The yal tree ring data, the Medeval warm period, The lack of a Hockey stick graph, the Glaciers in The Himalaya's that have stopped retreating, the lack of agreement between satellite data, and other means of determining global temperature. Ask him if he knows what is meant by "global temperature" and how we define that. Ask him abouts Hansen's mistakes in interpreting temperature data.
This are more powerful arguments than the Alex Jones, oh noes its the NWO out to kill us all.

Water only expands upon freezing when the temperature is near the freezing point. The lower the temp goes, though, water acts like everything else and gets denser. Very cold ice is much denser than near-freezing ice.

Oh boy. I hate to say this, and it is sad, but your friend's
intellectual/intuitive/logical/and heart faculties are 'shut down'.
I am sure there are many reasons for this, but if he is drinking tap water, he is 'fluoride addled', which means his pineal gland is adversely affected(that is the seat of our intuition and a sense of the bigger picture).
His foul language says his liver is very congested with a lot of crap and poisons he is ingesting which affects the reasoning faculties of his brain.

I just went through severe liver detox and can tell you that I still use a prodigious amount of foul language. This person is just passionately committed to what he sees as the wrongs with the world. He's not really so different than the most radical people here.... just has come to the exact opposite conclusions.
To the OP, if you continue to try and talk about these things with this person, become as much of an expert on the root causes of the problems as possible. This way you can be consistent through time and will gain considerable credibility when the things you talk about happen, eg. the housing bust and how the illegal immigrants are scapegoats for the housing bubble and FED policy. Many people live in their own version of the Echo Chamber, including us, btw. Breaking through that is difficult and, for some people who have staked their entire sense of self on their politics, painful.
I've been harping on monetary policy for nearly 10 years and for a long time my friends and family (not my wife, thankfully) would just roll their eyes or flat-out argue. Now, they all want to know what I think is going to happen next, regardless of political ideology. They still don't like what I have to say, but now they're listening out of necessity.

Friends like yours scare me. I've run into many of his kind in my effort to befriend everyone I can on FB to spread liberty. I talked with one that was so pro NWO with America at the head that I finally had to delete him from my friends so I could keep his garbage off of my wall. I didn't want others seeing that. Others are so vicious in their vehemence defending the status quo, that I am afraid that it is going to truly come down to civil war when the SHTF.
But, I persist in my efforts to open eyes! I keep hoping for the truth of the whole six degree of separation theory. We need to spread liberty and fast. Your friend is too far gone. Even if you give this person irrefutable evidence of wrongdoing, you will find that this personality type will (as silly as this sounds) create their own explanation for why these things were done. Beyond hope. Even if you did succeed in "waking" this person they would never be able to fully comprehend or draw logical conclusions. He's Missing the Entire Point
I would write back and say that I agree that pollution is bad and there are many environmental issues that should be addressed. (Maybe talk about chemicals and heavy metals in the water, etc...) Emphasize that pollution is not the same as global warming. Also, I find it absolutely possible that the climate is increasing in temperature, but the recent hacked emails show that this evidence is even in question now - but that is NOT the point.
The real issue is that we are being told that CO2 is causing global warming and we are all in danger. Thus, we are going to have to pay, either directly or indirecty, a tax on carbon emissions. (As a quaint reminder - let him know that this doesn't change the amount of carbon dioxide, it just creates a tax on them - so it won't help the environment at all). This will be, as Jones and Monckton discuss, a global tax - which is dangerous because we will be subsidizing manufacturing, that first of all left the US to third world nations in the first place, in poor nations. Also, look into the fact that Gore will MAKE MONEY on this tax. And, guess what, he isn't a scientist either.
