Unfortunately

Sigh, I'm here to play the, "that's a stupid stupid example" role.

PPM levels of many gases can be brutally deadly. The example showing the size between the number of molecules in the air and the number of CO2 molecules in the air really doesn't matter. The only relevant point made is that the human amount of CO2 isn't really much.

She missed one of the crux arguments, that being that water vapor has a higher effect than CO2, and the amounts VARY by more than the total amount of CO2 in the air. 1% to 4% water vapor is a HUGE difference in comparison to the minimal amounts of CO2.

CO2 warming is just a complete scam, but this as a way of showing that "part per million is nothing" is completely inaccurate. Many gases are deadly poisonous in the ppm range. Hell, I don't even like breathing in 10ppm nitrogen dioxide, not to even get started on the minimum levels of hydrogen cyanide it takes to get in your blood.

I'd even argue that high CO2 levels are more dangerous to us personally inside our homes with incomplete ventilation due to the raising of blood pressure and pulse rates than it is to warming the planet significantly.

Regardless, as nice as the woman is, and as much as I appreciate the effort of someone making a video like this, it's slightly misleading as to what levels of gas are necessary to become deadly.

I am not sure I understand but

won't we be taxed for existing not for the type of pollution? Yes, I agree there are bad chemical interactions but it seems they are going about solving the problem the wrong way. You seem informed on this and wonder what your thoughts on how we may address the problems without enslaving the human race.

It's not CO2

CO2 shouldn't be the issue. It's a poster-boy for people who want more government regulation. All the arguments you see about how we're now in a cooling trend, about how the water vapor causes more warming than CO2, about how cows blowing out methane really contributes more, etc. are all true.

Pollution is really a different story and requires more thought from everyone, I've really got not idea how to handle it. Currently, chemical companies are given a certain number of credits. They can then sell these credits to other companies which produce more chemicals than they do if they have an excess of credits (which the normal sized companies usually do).

CO2 though is really a non-issue. Sure the planet may be warming, or cooling, but basically we'll just have to adapt and deal. We're not the cause of it, and there are a bazillion other poisons we're pumping into the air that we should probably be more concerned with than good old fashioned CO2.

There's a ton of money in "going green" from the government. It's really just a way for them to give money to their buddies and screw over small businessmen who don't have the political connections. This "worldwide solution" garbage just stinks of a "lets make everyone produce at the same level!" mentality. "Bring the US down to everyone else's level" sort of gig.

Bottom line, CO2 levels really don't have much to do with global warming. Sorry for the rambling post, working while I write this.

Thank you for you knowledge in

this area. I believe as in most things there is some truth on both sides but usually it is buried under all the tension created by people with agendas.

keep in mind

That it doesn't matter how much CO2, but rather how much infrared it absorbs - How much effect on the temperature it has. A small amount of some things can cause a significant effect - like the small amount of mercury in some vaccines.

Believers in Global warming will use that argument - a small amount of CO2 has a great effect - its the temperature forcing they talk about.

The counter argument is to point out that water has a much greater effect on the temperature both because there is more of it, and because it absorbs, and/or blocks IR radiation depending on the cloud structure, and the link between H2O and CO2 is based on computer models, and not directly known.

Great visual

The lady was a little nervous but her visual demonstration was great.
A picture says a thousand words.

CO2 is vital for photosynthesis, therefore crop production.

How can we ramp up our meager CO2 contribution?

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Some "closet gardeners" buy cylinders.

And let it loose to boost their crops.

I presume you're refering to those indoor Christmas tree growers

The cops thought they were up to something illegal using those 1,000-Watt bulbs ;-)

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Absolutely

And yes,
That is a 1000 watt angel on top.

Very Good

Visual presentations are the best.

Right About Now...

... Al Gore is at home thinking "if I persuade Obama to nuke India and China, to get rid of all those rice paddies, then that pesky red Co2 rice will never stop me from making my second billion dollars".

The way I see it, Al Gore has two choices.

1) He can make another movie to save face, perhaps 'Inconvenient Red Grains of Rice', and try to convince everyone that those pesky red rice grains are causing the earth to move farther away from the sun and that they are responsible for the global cooling findings that have been discovered amidst the climate change controversy.

Or...

2) He can eat the red grains of rice.

You sure?

You sure he hasn't already at least attempted the 2nd option a few times?

One More

If, as Al Gore says, the core of the earth is millions of degrees centigrade hot (or was it farenheit?), then shouldn't all the rice in the world have been fried by now?

Sorry, I'll retire my lame jokes for the evening:-) Although lame jokes are all that these climate criminals deserve.

Great explanation, this is

Great explanation, this is the kind of stuff we need to start educating people on just how much of a farce the entire man-made global warming stunt really is.

From my research on the issue, it's pretty accurate.

Who would you rather trust? A corrupt Al Gore who has an agenda to push which he has openly stated and that the elitists have discussed for over 50 years the bringing in of a carbon market that would move along globalization rapidly. Or would you like to trust a school teacher who has nothing to gain from any of this :)
