How have you prepared ?
Gold/silver ?
Other things, food, etc ?
I am now probably 80 % in gold/silver.
I am also improving my health, with vitamins and better nutrition.
Seems 2010 might become a turbulent year.
Water Storage and City Sewer backup prevention.
I am trying to think of the most practical way to store water for long term- but safely. It will not do any good to have bad water when I need it. For now I buy bottled water when it is cheap.
I figured out - by simple observation - that I am about 10 ft above the low point of the hill from a sewage perspective - with many houses higher than me. If the power goes out (or the pump fails) for more than a day I bet it will backup into my house. There is a cheap contractor grade checkvalve for most of my house but I do not trust it. I am seriously thinking about getting out the jackhammer and installing a very high quality checkvalve between my house and the city sewer line.

Gotten out of dept. Diversified any little bit of retirement and savings we have including gold and silver. We are total health nuts and don't go to allopathic doctors unless it is an emergency or for a diagnosis. We tend to eat very simply and always have beans and rice on hand. AND, we bought a hectare in Ecuador of the most incredible, rich land with natural irrigation and in the mountains. You can grow food there year round. We also have a condo that we are buying there. So, with God's help, we will be ready for whatever comes our way.

I cashed out my IRA and put half into physical silver back in July, the rest is still in FRN's stored elsewhere... I have 4 months of canned food and veggies, 6 months of dehydrated food, wood burning stove, water purifier, 3 cords of wood, xxx amount of ammo, a new scope for my peace making machine. I think ammo and food will be worth my than the silver and FRN's.
For nutritution we make veggie cocktail for breakfast every morning with our Jack Lalane juicer machine and take Vitamin D.
