But What About Israel?

0 votes

There is a wide range of views, among Christians, about the role of the nation of Israel in the coming Kingdom of God. Personally, I believe that the Church is the new Israel, and that the ethnic Jewish peoples are now on equal footing with the gentiles when it comes to the Kingdom of God.

But, I do know that many Christians are hesitant to support Ron Paul because his foreign policy would stop aid to Israel. If you know such people, please feel free to copy the following and e-mail it to them; I just e-mailed it to all my Christian family and friends:

I am sure that some of you will ask whether Ron Paul's non-interventionist foreign policy would harm Israel and by extension the advancement of the Kingdom of God. This video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4578640723695582811) addresses those concerns. The first part of the video talks about abortion, prayer in schools, the Biblical foundations of our Constitution, and how applying the Constitution provides answers to the attempts by big government to restrict Christianity. If you allow the video to load and then move the slider up to about 25:00 minutes into the video, Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin (Baptist minister, radio show host, columnist) talk about Israel.

If you don't want to watch the video, here is Ron Paul's comments, in summary. Our current foreign policy is not helping Israel. I think most who would call for U.S. military intervention on behalf of Israel are against a welfare state. As Christian we recognize that it is the Church's job to provide for the needy, and that when the government gives handout, it robs people of their human dignity. Humans were made to work (as God is a worker) and to provide for their families. "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." (2 Thess. 3:10) Since living on handouts in humiliating and contrary to God's desire for His people, we are to have compassion on the poor and lift them up to productivity. The same is true of the nation of Israel. In the name of helping her, we have taken her national sovereignty and treated her as a welfare recipient. She is not free, she is beholden to do as our (non-Christian) government wants her to do, or risk losing the subsidies from us.

Ron Paul also makes the point that, if we follow the Constitution, and stop sending subsidies to Israel, that would not preclude private citizens and churches from sending aid to Israel. And private aid is always done more efficiently than government aid; just think of FEMA in the wake of Katrina. And, in a Ron Paul administration, we, as private citizens and churches will be able to send much more aid to Israel, if we so choose, because we will be able to keep all of our money. Ron Paul wants to abolish the IRS and replace it with nothing. And he can do that because of all the money his non-interventionist foreign policy would save us.

Do you know that, right now, your tax money is being used to support dictators and terrorists. I have already written about the 200 billion dollars that the U.S. government has sent Musharraff, the dictator of Pakistan. Yesterday I found out that Congress has already sent $59 billion (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6927288.stm), and Condaleezza Rice is asking for $400 billion more ( http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59050 ) to be sent to Fatah, an organization in Palestine that is connected with the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, a terrorist organization that kills Israelis.

So, in short, Ron Paul's foreign policy would stop our current policy of sending money to terrorists, to governments hostile to Israel, to the UN population fund, which performs abortions, and to dictators around the world. He would significantly reduce our government spending, so we no longer need to borrow money, and pay interest to the Chinese, a government that brutally oppresses Christians. And all your tax money, which is now being used to fund these horrible things, would be returned to you. You can send all of it to Israel, if you like. Personally, I wouldn't, but that is the beauty of freedom, you can support the causes you feel passionately about, rather than having the non-Christian, federal government choose for you what you will support.

Vote for freedom! Vote Ron Paul.

BUT WHAT ABOUT AMERICA!

This campaign is about the restoration of our Republic to serve the needs of Americans.

If we are so concerned about Jews

Why are the talking heads pushing to invade Iran? Iran has a large Jewish population. Let's put some value back in life and stop this madness.

CHURCH BOMB-----------BOOM!

Thank you "equationmommy" for putting together this article!

We will be using this in our Church BOMB----------BOOM! campaign.

We have been establishing "special ops" http://dailypaul.com/node/10915
http://dailypaul.com/node/10915
in an effort to reach groups of voters with "truth-filled" Ron Paul initiatives.

I personally am a born again Christian and believe God revealed the Constitution to our Founding Fathers.

I know God always gives us a perfect way to conduct our affairs and He even gave us instructions for our relationship with Israel.

As Christians we look forward to the day when Jesus Christ comes again to re-establish the 'new Heaven and new earth'. He will put His foot once again on earth in Jerusalem and as believers we are called to support Israel against her enemies.

As stated in your article this instruction has been perverted by our government.

Thank you for bringing this information about Ron Paul to the forefront where we can use it.

"Actionable Intelligence"

Israel has been hi-jacked just like America. And the few power mongers give her a bad name too, just like the Neo-Cons in our country. Wherever the Global Elite go they create enemies.

To hell with Israel. They

To hell with Israel. They are more a terrorist state than Iran.

God Is Sovereign

Let Israel Again Depend On God And Not The USA.

Most Of The People Do Not Want The USA To Tell Them What To Do And Not What To Do Because Of The Threat Of Losing The Money The USA Gives Them.

The Bible Tells Us How The Return Of Our Lord Will Happen. We Know The Rest Of The Story.

TheKingIsComing

If Jews are God's people

If Jews are God's people then they should do fine without US taxpayers filling their tin cans. If christians really think Israel needs support then christians worldwide should chip in and send their cash to Israel. Why should the rest of us have to support a cause we do not believe in? No I will not burn in hell but those who force others to do something against their will might. Not so sure about the heaven and hell thing you know.

US State Dept.

There was a news story today on how Condaleeza Rice chastised Israel for building 300 homes on home soil.

No one discusses, or reports, how their citizens feel about a foreign government telling their construction industry what to build, and where to build it.

Israel is not allowed to even enter into peace talks with other governments without US involvement. Why? Is the US the ONLY one that has a peace idea?

Ron Paul supports letting Israel be the solver of Israel's problems.

America is sick, call a doctor! Dr. Ron Paul.

But What About Israel?

What about it? What indeed? None of us owe it anything, any more than Uruguay or North Korea. Let it fend for itself. If it cannot survive on its own, then let it go.

There

was an link of an Isreal radio station on one of the dailypaul nodes that showed how they are loving RP's message. It was a great sound bite. I wish I could remember where it was.

You know,

Dr. Paul has clearly stated his position on Israel many times. He is a supporter of Israel, but believes the best way to support them is to let them fight their own battles. These people who are afraid of the USA losing God's favor because we stop babying Israel are wrong. Israel needs to stand on its own. Come on, they could take out Iran, Syria, or any other Middle East country with no problem. They have nukes, guys... remember? We can still support their sovereignty, their right to exist, and we can talk and trade with them, but we no longer need to be her protector. Isn't that what the Bible promises - that God will be... Israel's protector? Besides, how much did we really help Israel when we basically told them to stand down against their enemies not so long ago? We encouraged them to de-escalate, when it was probably in their best interests to attack and defend their land. Evangelicals, I am one of you, and I encourage you to think critically on this, rather than just nodding your head while your pastors and fellow Christians fill your head with their opinion of this issue.
Ron Paul 2008!

Jason

Ron Paul 2012!

blah blah blah...

blah blah blah... religion... blah blah blah... keep it to yourself? nooooo... lets push it like crack on others and hope they are irrational... oops, sorry! too drunk... shouldnt rock the boat!

No Foreign Aid! / Aid Ron Paul! Ron Paul equals first aid!

If you wish to give another country, church, charity, or anyone else any aid, take it out of your pocket, not mine. No more strong-arm robbery perpetrated against this American for your selfish illogical, unreasonable causes and distributions, whether you think such are noble or I think such are ignoble. Leave me alone to be free to work hard and pursue happiness under the United States Constitution and "The Bill Of Rights" My Rights!I vote and argue for no Foreign Aid from our Government! I vote and demand Peace, Prosperity, Freedom, and an Invincible National Defense, for The United States of America -nothing less. Non-Interventionism is the key for me. I find personally the notion of foreign aid to another government to be disgusting, and any demagogue ridden nation which begs for it to be pathetic. After we restore pure liberty and freedom to our Country -via Ron Paul and "The Message" --The rest of the world will follow -sooner or later through attraction. I do not think we Americans have a propensity to crave, respect and love freedom and liberty more than any other people inhabiting a nation --the difference is that we have tasted it, fought for it, and won it, and we know it better than any other nation. We know the feeling inherent in losing it. Ron Paul as far as I'm concerned, should have his face sculptured at Rushmore starting today (I'LL BE THE FIRST TO DONATE $100.00 FOR STARTERS AFTER HIS ELECTION AS PRESIDENT OF THESE UNITED STATES) and not through government funds. Four Months ago I never heard of him! Caught him answering a direct question with a direct answer, which was logically sound and (wow)UNEQUIVOCAL, (and the rest is history). And as usual everyone else muddled around the same question and if they were quick enough they pandered to a base special interest. I researched the hell out of his public record and philosophy. I do not agree with everything --but hell -This man is a giant, this man is a man for all seasons. Where in God's creation has MSM and its propaganda useful idiots been hiding him, and how? and why? And why have we not been looking for him --did we fall asleep? Were we put to sleep? There is only one special interest, that an elected official at any level should consult before voting or acting upon, as far as I am concerned: namely: The United States Constitution and The Bill of Rights, I will donate the max in money to this movement to reclaim our country, and as much time and sweat as I can muster. I'm sending $300.00 via Tea Party. and have already sent and spent more than a few other hundred to and for him elsewhere. I'll pick my spots as I see them , individualism is not a crime -though if Ron loses someone else might suggest it become a crime. Nevertheless: you clever intelligent ingenious lovers of freedom I implore you to continue to create and find more ways to awaken and energize like minded citizens to support him monetarily and otherwise. --don't be tempted to allow any semblance of a herd instinct to sway you from more success. I'm so impressed with your courage and dedication and the courage that is arising everywhere concerning this man Ron Paul and his Supporters. You Have restored my faith in the future of this country and that of my children. . I'm with you and I'm with Ron Paul. Thank You

Is Ron Paul an enemy of Israel? He clearly isn't.

Excerpt:

Is Ron Paul an enemy of Israel? He clearly isn't. He supported Israel's action against the Osirak reactor when practically everybody – including the Reagan Administration – condemned Israel. He has steadfastly refused to support congressional condemnation of Israel, or military aid to nations like Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Any Christian that knows the bible

and The prophets knows that our policy toward Israel pisses G-d off. And is against the word of G-d.

In fact it is the exact same policy that got Israel kicked out of the land in 2,000 years ago in the first place.

The G-d of Host tells us that Israel will never again disappear from the face of the earth after the return of Exile to land of Israel. And also we are plainly told by the prophets that making alliances for protection rather than trusting G-d was the reason for the fall of Israel and “The Day the Towers Fell.” (Is 30:35) (reference to 9/11? Isaiah also says the prophecies are for all time and repeat)

"…that take counsel, but not of Me; and that make alliances, but AGAINST MY WILL…"" Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your SHAME, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt YOUR HUMILIATION."
"Their strength is to SIT STILL." And trust in the Lord

Isaiah 30 Clearly says that the reason for the 2,000 year exile was not trusting G-d and paying Egypt for protection. The U.S. has been paying Egypt and other countries Such as Saudi Arabia hundreds of billions dollars to date. This angers G-d today just as it did 2,000 years ago.
Right action cannot arise out falsity. A SAD commentary on Christian society endorsing a unjust war because of their “support of Israel” that is in direct violation of scripture and the Just War Principle of Saint Augustine.

Support Israel with Honor. If the government stops taking your money and giving it to Egypt, Pakistan ect..that money through the Free Market of IDEAS bring further prosperity and PEACE in Israel. Judeo Ideas are
America Gives Aid to Countries that Persecute Christians and Even Martyr Christians.

“IF YOU GIVE A PHROPHET A GLASS OF WATER YOU SHARE IN HIS REWARD.”

I think every American should be free to send the government of Israel as much money as they wish.

donate what you want but no tax break.

i dont because they are receiving a tax break for it which mean the american people are subsidizing it. the reason is it is not our responsibilty to support isreal or any other nation. i resent the fact that people get a tax break to donate money but we dont get a tax break if i donate to spain or any other country. isreal has cost the tax payer 2 trillion dollars since 48 im not ready to spend a penny more. isreal can defend itself like any other nation. i have nothing against isreal or any other nation but if we are going to continue to do as we do make it the 51st state already.

there is a thing i can no

there is a thing i can no understand:
Why is US, a capitalist country, supporting the Socialist Israel?

easy

big money. aipac for starters. this is what i dont like about it.

...easy....

..the socialists run this country. That's why. Everyone should read: "None Dare Call It Treason". If you wish to understand the twentieth century, then read the communist manifesto.

"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism."

Also read some of the writings by Quigley (Bill Clinton's Mentor) or watch the video 'Don't Mind the Men Behind the Curtain' easily googled.

Bruce

thank, I came from a

thank, I came from a comunist country, I know what is happening here very well, i was telling to an american no longer ago, that you are loosing your freedom. I just realized many american are socialist but they dont know it. Simply, they dont know what's to be a socialist.
the've been taught to be a socialist but with different name.
there should be a survey to tell you if you are a socialist or not.
there shoulb be in the news videos, pictures from socialist countries, and also interviews with people from there.
there is not intention to show the truth about a socialist country.
