What religion is Nystrom? Does anyone know?

0 votes

No. You don't know, because the owner of this site does not wear it on his sleeve, or try to shove his beliefs about his religion down others' throats.

The reason he doesn't do this is because everyone's religious beliefs are their own business and they are IRRELEVANT to the work that needs to be done and to which this site is dedicated.

If you want to kill time, have philosophical debates and push people's buttons about religion that will inevitably turn into shouting matches and flame wars, then take it here:

http://boston.craigslist....

If you want to continue to engage in divisiveness on the site, I will be more than happy to ban you. A couple of people here have been banned once, and I let you back, and you're up to your old tricks again.

Craigslist will be happy to have you. I am sick of you. It is not worth it to me to sit around and indulge a bunch of babies who are screaming for attention and think they have a right to post whatever they want on my site.

(Thanks Eric for the video)

I had nothing to do with it

that is, making this thread popular again...but since it is...for all who are interested, this DPer has on hand the hard copy of Ron Paul's +estimonial that i picked up at the Des Moines office, December, 2007. The bottom reads "Paid for by Ron Paul 2008 PCC". Send me an e-mail.

wrote him in in 2008, electing him in 2012.

I DO wear it on my sleeve.

(Actually, I wear it in my signature below.)

But I get the point.

Repent, for the reign of YaHUaH is near!

Michael,

you are awesome. That is all.

Michael

seemed like a pretty cool guy when I met him in St. Paul at the Campaign for Liberty leadership summit in 2008. Okay, I only said "hello" and mentioned that I visit Daily Paul everyday. Easily a forgettable encounter...

This site is not about Michael Nystrom. But, yes, I'd like to thank you, Mike, for keeping this place up and running for it is a daily source of information and a great place to meet other like-minded individuals.

Who and WHY

was this thread resurrected from a year ago?

Who cares?

I haven't seen it before, and it's awesome! :D

it is awesome

It's possible Michael Nystrom is a god

That could help explain why He won't disclose His religion.

Also, I've never seen Him in physical form. And it is miraculous that this site continues to grow and thrive given the forces of evil arrayed against us.

As far as my religion goes, I am a Nystromethodist.

I will begin to...

pray to him daily.
add me as a fellow Nystromethodist.
Cheers!

Mee too!

Amen Michael! (No pun intended)

For those that want some comic relief, I think that Michael is a Tarvuist.

I was going to come on here and say:

"what difference does it make?", and then I realized that I had been 'tricked'--I've seen this before!!!

LOL!

Thanks!!!

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

I was going to say

before I knew who authored the post "Who cares?" Yep, I agree, who cares. It is not something that really matters in the scheme of things. I agree, there has been a lot of contentious posts over the last few years regarding certain religious persuasions and beliefs. It discourages me sometimes but I keep plugging away.

Thanks, Michael, for trying to keep some sanity.

Who cares?

Michael Nystrom gave us a site for for liberty. For whomever, regardless of religious preference, if any.

Don't know

doesn't really matter unless he disscusses it. He is a good guy in my book. Anyone that puts up with us is ALLRIGHT.

Thanks for the new site Michael.

:)

I don't know what religion you are, Michael, but I was very impressed when you stated something about the karmic debt you will take on by killing murderers...
You said, "You will take on their karmic debts..."
I don't necessarily agree with that - I think we make enough of our own karma to deal with as we go down the road of life - but keep on seeking, learning and growing! Its all good!

I don't care what (if any) religion you are...

All I care about is your concept of what liberty is.

If your concept of liberty is big government taking from us to re-distribute to those in "need," then we are going to have an argument and you wouldn't feel too welcome on this site.

If your concept of liberty is allowing we the individual to keep what we earn and spend it how we see fit, then we'll get along fine.

And religious or not, I believe most American who see someone genuinely in need of help, will give of our hearts to help.

BUT GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS LIKE 99 WEEKS of federal unemployment benefits are IMMORAL because...

1. They cause dis-incentive to work
2. They are not funded like State unemployment benefits
3. They are taken from the backs of the hard working citizens who got off their butts and GOT A JOB when they needed one.

Thank you Michael!!!!!!!!!

I was getting so sick of this non sense, it was frustrating to say the least!!! Im so glad you banned some of the main culprits, because its just immature to debate people's personal beliefs and it doesnt hurt or help anyone to talk about it or condemn someone else for what they believe in. It has nothing to do with this country's governmental policy and its.... Im having hard time putting it in words. All in all, im just happy you did something about it, Michael. "God" bless you for it! lol

I came to this thread not knowing it was Michael himself who

posted it! My immediate thought was "Why does it matter?"
Some are saying the religious posts caused them to come here less often and I don't understand why, as I just don't go to those topics!
Works for me!

For example, If you are handed a plate of food at a dinner

and there is spinach on the plate and you HATE spinach---just don't eat the spinach!

Michael, thank you!

I am not going to name the threads--you all know which ones they are--but frankly, I have come to the site less and less often because of them. These kinds of debates have actually caused a bit of psychological pain for me--pain for myself, because I struggle greatly with my own spirituality, but pain for others, and for the future of our country, because I also believe that such discussions detract from the real work at hand. I thought this country was founded on principles of religious tolerance, and it saddens me to see so many on this site dissipate themselves in debate.

Notice what I am *not* saying. I am not judging anyone who has firmly held religious beliefs. In the coming days, when we should all be working together to battle the Leviathan of ever growing government (if not outright socialism), I am sure those who hold such beliefs will find them to be a source of courage. Heaven knows we all need courage to face the coming storm, and I pray that everyone here finds a source of it, whether it be through religion, the examples of others, or the lessons we find through the early history of our country.

Truth is treason in an empire of lies.

Michael, You are very special and personally,

I don't care! Your heart tells me you are for truth, love and individuality, and that is all that matters. You are a special person and so am I. So is everyone on this site if they could quit with the organized religion stuff.

People, Your beliefs are your own. Bless you for them. I am so happy you are trying to do what is good for the individual. Don't you think that is what counts.

No one here can convince me to accept their beliefs. Nor can I convince anyone of mine.( Nor would I want too for they are mine and mine alone). Beliefs are all that we have. Shouldn't we hold them for ourselves, family and spread them to the ones we think are most apt to accept them.
