What if we formed our own Civilian Air Force? (any pilots out there?)
Obviously, we would not have access to Jets, etc... however.....(well maybe a few..he he)
What could we do with a Patriot Air Force? Like a citizens Air Militia?
-- could network and fly patriots,etc to special events ..ie protests, etc without the hassle of the big airlines.(costs may be less than some airlines)
-- could do flyover recon on suspected Fema Camps.. take pictures..and alert the general Public...
-- could transport emergency food/medical supplies if /when the time comes that society breaks down....
-- could do banner flyovers in different parts of the nation.. (imagine VOTE KOKESH..OR GOOGLE RAND PAUL... flying over the big cities...)
-- could even safely transport LIBERTY politicians to/from campaigning.. for a lot less than traditional transport..(imagine if Rand Paul had access to a private plane..how much more could he campaign in KT?)
-- any other ideas for something like this ?
If there was a networked assembly of say dozens to hundreds of ex-military pilots..or even just amateur pilots.. around the country.. how cool would that be? (and useful .of course) Could also be a useful deterrent tool for any aggressive illegal activity by any foreign or domestic enemies.

Here's how...
Start a flying museum and get old WW2 planes and restore them. Do air shows, etc. Get squadrons of 'em, fighters and bombers in V formations. You would need financial backing or donations to get stared, rent hangers, hire A&P mechanics, build tooling, once processes are down for refurbishing old aircraft, start producing parts for new aircraft using the same designs, and sell them to flying buffs too! Make it profitable. Build an organization of replica and refurbished WW2 plane owners, and hold major exercises, which mirror famous WW2 air battles. "BOGEY 6'CLOCK! BREAK RIGHT! BREAK RIGHT!" and all of that. Have good command and control for both opposing forces. Oh Yeah! Make an opposing force, and use messerschmidts and zero's! People rebuild them all the time. I see old WW2 planes flying around most weekends. That's where the idea came from.
so with the recent TSA BS....thought it was high time
we figured out a way to just make our own private airline, using small planes, private pilots, and what not.
talk about a great way fellow patriots could fly!

In regards to your post, there already is a civilian Air Force... It's called (The Civil Air Patrol)(CAP)
If you remember, after 911, Bush grounded all aircraft, however, most of us might recall, still hearing some air craft up in the sky. They were the eyes in the sky's also they were busy flying emergencies, transplants and patients from one place to another etc..
The Civil Air Patrol, was busy, doing most of what was suggested here. In fact, during WWII, the civil air patrol was patrolling the coastal shores.
Anyone can join, you must pay for all your own pilot training, but, once achieved (license) they will keep you flying fee free patrols and searches etc..
Also, it's not just pilots the Civil Air Patrol needs many other skill sets to coordinate the C.A.P.

Homemade drones
Use large RC planes, cameras are available that will fit on a decent sized RC. Transmitters and receivers are now small enough to use.And the feds have virtually no authority over these craft. Plus you can take off and land in 150 ft easy. I use some of the small cameras and mics in my cars as " Reasonable Suspicion" recording devices since I live in a township that generates its revenue on questionable traffic stops

and hot air balloons, if all your doing is surveillance. If you are thinking patriot as militia then you are going to have to have someone design a cheap to make air craft and cheap to make jet engine, and all the peripherals that go with it, without the faa's approval of course.

we can call it the balloon brigade... (hehe) seriously.. it is these type of plans/ideas that we need to become accustomed to. Thinking outside the box... is what allowed this nation to become free to begin with.. Now its our generations turn to tear down the "Monarchy" and replace it with a Constitutional Republic.
