audit AND ASSAY every bar of gold it possesses.
No country is reporting such an assessment of their gold reserves.
Being a skeptic, I would still worry if we reported that all the gold in Fort Knox is there and pure. However, the silence on this faux tungsten/gold issue is deafening. An independent audit screams out to be done, but nothing is.
Until proven otherwise, every country is in on this scam perpetrated by the banksters. They have all of the gold in their banks!
Are we all being scammed by buying gold-plated tungsten bullion coins?
Is that a possibility? Are there assays for golds coins available?
We have again been believing our government "guaranteeing" the quality of the precious metals they are selling to us.
Should we be believing them at this point in our history?

On the other hand
the factual accuracy of these reports may not matter if enough people believe them.
When the fed and other central banks are widely seen as corrupt and fraudulent, more and more people will lose confidence in them and the system they control. Eventually all credibility is lost.
As was discussed brilliantly by others in the recent hyperinflation thread, the loss of confidence is a key factor when monetary systems collapse.
Without a smoking gun, these rumors are just another straw on the camel's back.

Why believe them?
The better question to ask, would be, "why believe the people that don't allow a Ft. Knox audit"? The joke is on all gullible Americans that believe everything our government says.

I'm all for auditing the Fed and Fort Knox. I am not too keen on getting behind every rumor from the conspiracy-theory radio shows. That's diversionary and does not look good for the liberty movement.
I post different points of view...
for a healthy exchange of opinions - that's all...
people in the freedom movement hold different points of view on different subjects - there are always things to learn and to investigate and doing so does not divide but energizes the rEVOLution.

Its a double edged sword, because it makes real assayed gold that much more valuable. By making gold more valuable, it shows an increase in the weakness of the fiat currencies. Furthermore, the value of real gold is maintaining purchasing power as that of the fiat currencies slips away. Most likely, this will result in a slight drop in gold, followed by a resurgence once the extent of the fraud begins to be uncovered (assuming that this fraud is widespread). Otherwise, this story will have no significant effect on gold price, except perhaps raise its price as assays are requested by buyers and holders (caveat emptor).

I Doubt the Story
They probably went down to the Fed in NY and moved them from one cage to another. I bet no one has seen or assayed the bars in question. What I am saying is that I do not think India took physical delivery.
It is in no ones interest to let this rumor that has not one confirmation get out in to the open. So even if it is true we would never know.
So my BS Meter is off the charts on this one.
