Mass Tax Protests seem like they might accomplish what we're talking about. Cut-off the cash and Washington might have to start listening. It brought "things to a head" for the founders...
If people stopped paying their federal withholdings en masse (I'm talking LARGE NUMBERS), it might get somebody's attention. Perhaps they might start listening?
My question: if everyone in America stopped pay their annual tribute to the Fed, would they just increase the number of Treasury Bills and monetize the debt anyway? If we stopped paying our taxes, would the politicians continue to sell off "little pieces of America" (at auction) every week to makeup the difference?
Carrying signs ain't enough... we need direct action in large numbers. "I wont pay for this. com" is available.
The argument exists that
the income tax is a necessary yearly constraint to prevent dollar hyperinflation.
I somehow don't think cutting off dollars to a body that operates the printing press will accomplish much.
But I'm certain if we all paid our taxes in cash one year, we'd run most all banks out of business.

It would not work
So long as people use fiat dollars in the marketplace, then all the government has to do is shift from direct taxation to inflation taxation. Only if you stop using fiat dollars altogether can something like this work.
The way I see it.
Everyone could quit their jobs and they could still print money. It's crazy.

Here's a bump, Gary! I think they would just print more money and reap the benefits of hidden tax through inflation. But I am really not sure! The problem with an action like not paying taxes..it would have to have massive participation and I'm not sure enough people would do it!
