Ron Paul, Ideology, American Thinking

0 votes

Hi everyone.. a guy on YouTube has made an interesting video about Ron Paul, his YouTube name is wepollock and does not seem to agree much with our sense of liberty and conservative form of government.

Have a look at the video and feel free to leave some replies, I personally will be preparing a detailed reply for him to post in the comments section, and thought this would be an interesting way of people practicing not only their debating skills but it is also an opportunity to see, what I believe is a confused smart man waking up soon.

Here is the link to the video:

Is there more from this guy?

He has no ideology? I don't believe him. I'd like to press him on what his plans are once the system self-destructs. His answers will reveal his ideology. This piece skirts the subject - it only serves to state a negative - that he rejects Ron Paul's ideas. I would conjecture that he doesn't have much respect for the Constitution. Whatever his criticisms are would be a more interesting topic for discussion - and more productive. I will have to look now and see if he shares his plans for the world on some other posting.

But with what you've got here, my reply would be along these lines:
We are not "entitled" to the world's oil. Those who possess oil currently and historically have been willing to accept our money for it. Our military presence in the world may have influenced their desire for our dollar. But we are not entitled to anything in the possession of another nation.

The only thing we are "entitled" to are our own inalienable natural rights and our Constitution. These rights and our Constitution have been progressively ravaged in the nature of governments - which seek to grow in all systems. This is the underlying cause of our current crisis.

What he leaves out is any acknowledgement of the unique nature of the experiment of our particular Constitutional form government, and how our Constitution and original form of capitalism might have influenced the former economic success of the USA.

I appreciate your reply and

I appreciate your reply and thank you for your "pointers" but that is not why I made the post, trust me when I say I believe I am very well versed in the ideology of libertarian conservatism and did not come here for any debating help. Ron Paul has indeed awakened me and I have studied his thought process and ideology very well to debate this guys ideas.

What worries me is this guys confusion and his "hatred" towards the values that have made America great, he seems to blame the people and seems to support a "radical" form of left wing government for the U.S., I have personally not seen this amount of resentment that seems to be very Un-American and along the lines of a treasonous thought process. Are the generations of the present responsible for the current economic chaos that western civilizations are living thru? Yes maybe they are, but does that mean that the current western civilization does in fact owe anything to all these other developing countries who are now coming on to the world stage and gaining power? I say yes we do, we owe them money (fiat currency) that they were stupid enough to trust (national and foreign debt) knowing the history of how fiat currencies behave. Are we entitled to oil? Yes we are and will continue to be if we can provide an acceptable form of payment for that oil to the entity who is selling it. I have never seen Ron Paul talk about conquering other countries to steal their oil..

Anyway.. I will make a reply to his video tomorrow, this amount of ideological ignorance must be battled on a daily basis, with the tools Ron Paul and others have given us to fight with. That video will become viral due to the misinformation and indoctrination most people have been subject too, and it does not serve our cause for liberty to ignore it, IMO.

I will always be grateful to Ron Paul for teaching me what I had never been able to put in words.

Peace
