Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas! The Daily Paul is Back!
Admittedly, it is a little late for Christmas, and there are still a few bugs, but she's been down for long enough.
I know the site looks pretty much the same on the surface, but underneath the hood, she's a whole different machine, ready for a whole slew of new features.
Thanks again to Marc Pope of Falcon Internet for the new hosting digs. If there are any experienced Drupal programmers out there who would like to lend a hand with the site, please drop me a line.
There is much more to do in anticipation of the main event (Ron Paul 2012), and I am in need of help. Please report any bugs or irregularities you notice with the site below. This is an ongoing, never ending job, like the fight for liberty!
Thank you all again, and Merry Christmas!
p.s. Note that you can now bookmark posts. See the link 'Bookmark this' at the bottom of the post. See you bookmarks in your account at 'My Account.'

MIchael read your post below...on the challenges and letters..
you get on a daily basis.
And thought that perhaps you can channel those letters into something useful? That would not only ease your mind but perhaps could help the people sending your emails/letters.
What if you had a section that was like "letters to the Editor" section.
You could post any/all of the emails you get and people could comment on the letters/emails which may help not only the person who wrote them but may ease your mental frustration. To get emails daily (and perhaps much more to come as DP grows) can get fairly overwhelming I am sure..especially if many or most of them are asking you directly for help etc.
while technical support you perhaps can only do your self... the "help" letters could go to that section, and you could allow the dp to assist in how they may be able to.
Anyways, thought this might help with your stress... over this aspect of your website.
Just lettin' you know, there may be a problem with...
...the 'send yourself a copy' function when sending an email to someone here by way of their contact tab.
I sent someone an email last night and checked the box to send myself a copy, but the copy never made it to me.
The person did get the email I sent them, though, which was the more important thing. :)
A few questions and comments
1. How do you rate posts? How is it supposed to work?
I am not able to do so at this time.
2. Does rating affect the posts position on the front page or help put it
on the front page?
3. Is there anyway to implement tracking of page views?

Thanks Michael for your work and effort. Thanks to all who have helped keep this forum rolling.

Mr. Nystrom ...
I am noticing some quirky things.
1. No matter what topic I hit, only one gets the black font over in the active forum topics list.
2. The rating system disappeared today.
3. The top of the active forum topics is not the one that received the most recent comment.
Also ...
I like how in my account I can track my latest posts, but can there be a drop down to post a complete histor?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
WAHOR!!

Hey Michael ..site is superb...
did find a bug .for you to look at. Not sure if its all over or just this one place
On this thread, http://www.dailypaul.com/node/104214 went to hit edit, and got a drupal webpage that said the sight was down for repairs.
Not sure why, was just going to add a new link to the main thread... (found it while DP was in for repairs..he he)
\
Anyways, hope its not a major bug.. oh one more thing, that thread does not allow comments anymore..(is it locked down?) Ok..well love the new features..and seem to find more as I explore...
Ah, I was curious as to what time it can back online

Another try with Flock

Good!
Flock is working for commenting on DP. Maybe it wasn't a matter of browser troubles in the first place, just a DP glitch.

OK,
Internet Explorer seems to have no problems with posting here.

Question: On the comment page, my screen shows save and
preview (not submit or send). Save works to post a comment. Do others have these words as well? Thanks, Michael. A check will be going out again soon.
