Rand surges to 19-point lead over Grayson

Following immediately on the heels of a lot of news about one of Rand Paul's campaign staffers resigning over discovery of a racist comment posted on the blog of a band he belonged to (bad news in other words) came the great news of a major surge in voter preference for him over main opponent Trey Grayson in results released by polling firm PPP. The survey showed Rand at 44% and Kentucky Secretary of State Grayson at 25%.

This has got to be devastaing for Trey Grayson, whose funding sources must be drying up now like mad. This will also hurt Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnel's status since he twisted arms for donations to his darling Trey. I say look for a leadership challenge after next year's elections, possibly from Jim DeMint.

When will these idiots realize that you can't attack someone with racism who is a promoter of freedom? I find it kind of funny cause they tried something similar with Ron Paul and the whole contreversy died out so quick like it never happened.

With that being said, I wish you guys in KY the best of luck. Don't stop until he's won the seat. And even if he's already won, continue to fight!

While traveling in KY over the weekend, we spotted 2 Rand Paul for US Senate signs. One was at an intersection between Paris and Millersburg, attached to a fence where it couldn't be missed. The other was on hwy 71 (i think) we were traveling from Lexington to Louisville. This one was painted on a semi trailer which was parked atop a ridge. Both signs were highly visible and professional. It really tickled us to see them and encouraged us to continue donating!

When Rand is seen as the clear favorite they'll have to call a truce and climb belatedly onto the Rand Paul bandwagon.

Careful about declaring an end to a campaign with over four months to go. We are still in the first quarter of the US Senate race in Kentucky. I want everyone to keep in mind most people still do not decide who they will vote for until less than two weeks before the election. So, we must get to work or redouble our efforts in Kentucky. The victory cigar should not even be purchased yet much less ready to be lit. US Senator Mitch McConnell will not give up so easily on his favorite choice in candidate. Trey Grayson fund raising totals will probably be higher than Dr. Paul's in the fourth quarter. So, hold your water before throwing it on the coach.

A key to Ron Paul winning the presidency in 2012 is Rand Paul
winning the senate race in 2010. Even if Rand loses the senate race narrowly, a strong showing would put Ron Paul in the "top tier" of GOP candidates.

Peace out Trey Grayson. We still must keep up the fight both online and offline. Rand Paul now has a fairly solid bank an excellent chance of becoming a US Senator! If democrats continue screwing up, liberty republicans are poised for strong victories in 2010.
