8 Reasons The Democrats Are Now Doomed To Lose The House In 2010
The trend is not the Democrats’ friend. At least not in 2010. The party of the sitting president almost always suffers losses in midterm congressional elections. To that time-tested dynamic now add voter angst about high unemployment, big deficits and controversial legislation. Expect Senate majority leader Harry Reid to lose his effective 60-seat supermajority and Nancy Pelosi to hand the House back to the Republicans. Here’s why 2010 is looking like 1994 all over again:

One reason it won't matter....
Both parties are the same.
I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

The Short Version
It is a MOMENTUM Thing
Right now there is a juggernaught pushing this country the wrong way. I am talking about a physical presense from finance to governement jobs where everything is being put into place to permanently institutionalize the corporate and socialist agenda. Just like the federal reserve being established 100 years ago - similar systems are being installed to permanently keep us down.
We have got to push hard in this 2010 cycle to get anyone elected who is at least 1 pct better.
If they are 1pct better next year and then the year after that: Eventually we can move back in the right direction.
If someone running only agress with Dr. Paul 30 pct of the time that is WAY better than someone who is always wrong.
Agreed. 100 years of Incrementalism
is what brought us to the place we are now. Short of open revolution, we probably won't undo it all in a couple of years. But we can reverse the trend on pivotal issues and then work to reel-in the details over time. I think we'll be setting ourselves up for disappointment if we expect a sudden and total re-transformation. Just keep chippin-away at it.
