Haven't seen that one in a long time.

I remember it well. If all parents would take initiative in their children's healthcare, maybe one day we could all ban togehter and get the govt out of the healthcare business.

Have you seen the film "John Q"? That's one about the health insurance (HMO)rip off. The father of the child goes to extreme lengths to save his son's life. I think you'd really like that one, too.

Thanks I will check it out.

Thanks I will check it out. Hopefully it is on Netflix. That is really my only source.

EliteSquad

I watched a foreign film called EliteSquad. It is about Brazil, how criminals and corruption work. Very violent and insightful...thoughtful, depressing and inspiring.

Mitt Romney-"Real Human Being"?

This video was made by a high school friend of mine, Connor Ratliff. Please check this out and share with your friends. I wish I thought of this...

great signature.

To take it a step further,(something i have been trying to do as of late) is to drop the news as well. It's amazing how much it frames the mind in a negative light.

That's a great article to get

That's a great article to get people to start thinking about dumping the MSM, and televisions too. I don't read the paper, and I only occasionally google Ron Paul to laugh at the ridiculous headlines the MSM pumps out about him. Astounding, and so many believe that crap.

It would be a great start for society to move forward. Turning off the TV altogether. I did it 5 years ago, and haven't looked back. I don't have a television in my home. So the sad statistics you hear that 99% or whatever it is of homes that have 1 or more televisions, I am in the 1%, and damn proud of it.

It will be interesting to see the difference it makes in the upbringing of my kids. I was raised by television, and I have been unlearning all the social programming I learned from TV and movies for the last few years, and let me tell you, you start to see it all for what it is, BS designed to keep people dumb and controllable.

Its not just the news, sitcoms, and especially that reality TV crap. It's designed to keep people's world view in a bubble, and their intelligence very low. Whenever I hear talk of a new reality show, I always try to burst someone's bubble and say "You know they are actors, real people don't act like that". What I should say is "Reality TV would be someone sitting on their couch watching themselves sit on a couch watching themselves..."

My advice is for everyone to cancel their cable/satellite subscriptions, send a real message to the networks (who are owned by like 6 mega-corps) that we're not going to be railroaded. Its win-win, because then you can donate the proceeds to Ron Paul's campaign, and we can REALLY fix this country! Hell, not just this country, the world is controlled by the mass media.

Thankfully, the depression we're in is forcing people to cancel their propaganda subscriptions, and that will mean more people waking up going forward.

Can't wait.

Stop feeding the propaganda machine. Turn off your TV.

Ronald Reagan speaks to ron paul and supporters

How about my video Reagan speaks to Ron Paul and his supporters.

Not only do we see Ronald talking about the same ideas but also proves he was like Ron Paul and nothing like Mitt Romney.

Power

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091786/

Power (1986), all star cast: Richard Gere, Gene Hackman, Julie Christie, E.G. Marshall, Kate Capshaw and Denzel Washington---directed by Sidney Lumet

Best I've ever seen about the business of getting people elected to high office---how public opinion is moulded.

A very entertaining and thought provoking film.

It's around for free, but I don't want to post any of those links here; probably on Netflix or elsewhere for a small fee.

The Diamond Empire

The Diamond Empire (documentary, by Frontline)--- guys should watch this and they'll never, ever spend money on diamonds for any woman.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6186684678299366197
or
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8A9JXLyRwc

A fantastic expose of the Diamond Cartel and very pertinent to those interested in alterative currencies and plain old government sanctioned and abetted scams.

This isn't bogus stuff like arguing about blood diamonds or anything like that. It's about a free market vs what exists in the diamond trade.

It's low grade video quality, probably an old VHS/Beta rip but very viewable

The links are not a copyright violation in any way I know---Frontline posts all more recent for viewing by anyone, this one just is old and not in the viewable PBS collection
