Please go get your brain checked. I'll go through the quick factual errors I can see off the top of my head:
1. The 32nd degree ceremony, a Scottish Rite ceremony, isn't really secretive, except in that the public to my knowledge can't witness it. It's actually rather silly. A member of the scottish rite can go 1st to 32nd in one day if he memorizes the lines. Guess what the most common member of the Scottish Rite is? 32 degree? What a surprise! Because it's super easy to attain and is no big deal. Aliens don't give a crap if you attain 32nd degree. Heck, most Masons go "oh? Nice. Congratulations." and continue eating their fish fry.
2. James Cameron isn't even in Scottish Rite. I don't actually think he's even a Mason. With declining membership levels, Masons and the Scottish Rite will generally blab to the world and stick up billboards if someone cool or important joins. I'm not kidding, there's a billboard off 96 freeway by my house. There is no secretive 33rd degree Mason list, and no ceremonies are ever done at Hollywood dinners. 33rd degree is a HUGE ceremony for Scottish Rite members, and they tell the friggin world about it. Someone gets 33rd degree bestowed on them and they tell the WORLD about it because it's something to be proud of.
3. Bush isn't a Mason. Bush never was a Mason. Skull and Bones has nothing to do with Masons. PLEASE get your conspiracy theories straight. All Skull and Bones conspiracies have to do with elevated membership in the CIA.
4. Again, please go outside. Go to a park. See some trees. It's nice outside with the snow. VERY pretty.

I saw the movie and thought it was great. The 3d was spectacular and I am still avowed die hard patriot. The story was not unlike the story of the American Indians and a host of other cultures destroyed for commercial military gain. It's an old story.

I agree with some (given our sensitivity on the issue) there were "Al Gore-esque" save the earth overtones -- or some "white men" are evil top-notes.
Al Gore is a Corporatist, but that does not mean we shouldn't try and "save" (or clean up) the enviroment.
I for one do not want petroleum by-products in my food nor washing off all the top soil, owing to overt farm lobbying water use.
The difference between myself an Al is that I want the free-market to dictate -- get rid of gov't subsidies and most of the industries that the hippies rail against would not be able to compete with the simplistic organic/biodynamic farming methods.
I thought Avatar was great and like you I did not lose my sense of individualism in the process, hahaha.
