Paul Craig Roberts: In the Hole to China

Well worth reading IMHO, though his language is a little strong and my not appeal to all. Here is an excerpt that is in line with Dr. Paul's position which he has stated many times (that China is paying for our wars):

The precarious position of the US dollar as reserve currency has been thoroughly ignored and denied. The delusion that the US is “the world’s sole superpower,” whose currency is desirable regardless of its excess supply, reflects American hubris, not reality. This hubris is so extreme that only 6 weeks ago McKinsey Global Institute published a study that concluded that even a doubling of the US current account deficit to $1.6 trillion would pose no problem.

Strategic thinkers, if any remain who have not been purged by neocons, will quickly conclude that China’s power over the value of the dollar and US interest rates also gives China power over US foreign policy. The US was able to attack Afghanistan and Iraq only because China provided the largest part of the financing for Bush’s wars.

If China ceased to buy US Treasuries, Bush’s wars would end. The savings rate of US consumers is essentially zero, and several million are afflicted with mortgages that they cannot afford. With Bush’s budget in deficit and with no room in the US consumer’s budget for a tax increase, Bush’s wars can only be financed by foreigners.

No country on earth, except for Israel, supports the Bush regimes’ desire to attack Iran. It is China’s decision whether it calls in the US ambassador, and delivers the message that there will be no attack on Iran or further war unless the US is prepared to buy back $900 billion in US Treasury bonds and other dollar assets.

If it has legs . . .

The prospect of China needing to 'cure' it's past cultural policies resulting in a massive predominance of males, coupled with it's growing 'need' for Russian oil, would add to the liklihood of dumping US dollars to build a war chest. (Even if it never needed to spend those funds, their mere existence would place China in a strong barganing position with Russia.)

Let the Printing Presses Roll!

Dicey! First Europe, then US, and now BOJ and RBA~all China had to do was think out-loud (that's how fragile this whole sham is). The traitors in DC who have pretended Dr. Paul (and a few other kindred spirits) is invisible all these years, are going to have to EAT their votes. And this time, it might all be different~I think we've finally tired of backing "the full faith..." bs with our blood, sweat, and tears.

Paul Craig Roberts and the Hillary/China connection

.
I like this guy. He is fearless and says the things that need to be said. There are many interview with Mr. Roberts on YouTube and are worth listening to.

Interestingly, what Dr. Roberts said about the Chinese is apt. They recently threatened to call our debt if there were any more trade barriers put in place against China. This came after a variety of tainted food products turned up and people got sick. Who yelped the loudest? Hillary Clinton.

This is the same Hillary Clinton, who, as First Lady, was friends with the Riady family (Moctar Riady is a convicted "Chinagate" Felon); and the family is closely allied to the Chinese Army. Mrs. Clinton encouraged the hiring of John Huang (a close friend of the Clintons) at the Commerce Department. Huang later pleaded guilty to passing Chinese money to DNC for the Clintons.

There is also a 1995 photo of Ng Lapseng and Mrs. Clinton taken in front of a DNC symbol. Mrs. Clinton was certainly aware that Ng Lapseng also gave money to the Democratic National Party; money which came, in part, from a high-class brothel on Macau. Ng has also been linked to Chinese espionage involving U.S. satellites.

Some friends Hillary has. This is good information to keep in mind when your democratic friend say they are thinking of voting for her; they would be voting for a traitor and a criminal.

Thank goodness there is one honest guy in the race.

Dr. Roberts

Dr. Roberts has long been a favorite of mine given his libertarian leanings. He is a very insightful and intelligent fellow. We have corresponded on occasion including an exchange a few months ago when I asked him what he thought about Ron Paul's prospects of getting the Republican nomination. His response was that Dr. Paul was "too decent a man" for the party to nominate. Let's prove Craig wrong on this!
