Ron Paul and the Militia

Constitutional attorney, Dr. Edwin Vieira has written an excellent article addressing this. There is only ONE institution authorized by the Constitution to ensure our "Security" and the states have been derelict in their duty to provide this. NY Naval Militia
NY state has a Naval Militia that is state endorsed. They provide water security to special infastructure and at get recalled to duty in time of need. Most are currently serving in the reserves in addition to the militia, this is a new requirement to become part of the militia.
If you say "militia" to the unwashed
they will undoubtedly give you one of two answers:
1. Right-wing nuts, running around the woods looking for Neo-con Jews
2. "We already have a miltia.It's called the National Guard"
Please discuss.
On the brighter side, we already have in place a small-scale prototype of a miltia that's completely non-controversial: Volunteer Fire Departments.
They have limited police powers, and extraordinary powers in emergencies.

Why do you think they FEAR and HATE that word? I saw a great recent interview with Dr. Paul. The host asked him if there where any other countries he admired. He said he liked Switzerland because of the type of Militia they have there. By the way , we have NOT had a constitutional Militia in this country since the 1870's. The National Guard is NOT the Militia, it's part of the Army. Dr. Vieira goes into great depth on this. Check it out, then let's discuss it.

Oh, I was just quoting the typical response on the National Guard thing. It's a common mis-conception. I'll look into it more deeply. I scanned the two part article, but didn't dig too deeply. Back pain kickin in from keyboard hover, gotta rest it. I'll report back!

Head of the Maine Militia
who is also my father in law and a former selectman that almost won a seat in the house is for Ron Paul and will vote along side me in the Primaries as a Delegate for Ron Paul.
Militia's exist already, privately funded groups and they are honored here in Somerset County Maine because they give back to the community.
Militias do more than just train in weapons, they also prepare for emergencies. I'm not part of the Militia as I have too much stuff to do, but based on what I've seen they train in survival tactics and community service.
Every Veterans day they help march in a parade and do a 21 gun salute to our brave men and women. I usually sit in the back of the Duce (huge military infintary transport) and throw candy at the waving kids in the parade.
We also wave our American flags on the back of the Duce inn the air and get cheers from the crowd.
Sounds like a good group
you have in Maine. There are a lot of small private militias around the country but this is different. I hope you get a chance to check out some of Dr. Vieira's articles.

Which reminds me..tell people about the second amendment and the use of militias as protected by the constitution to change corrupt government. Wake up or Waco!

"We the People" have a choice
We can have a "Police State"( Dept.of Homeland Security) provide for our security OR "We the People" can provide for our OWN security through the revitalization of a constitutional State Militia. We WILL have one or the other. The choice is up to us.
Militia and and Honest, Open Vote count -- most vital issues
Everyone should read the essay by Dr. Vieira as Spirtof1776 suggests. This is not wild talk or crazy "let's go into the woods and wear fatigues" -- this is a sound essay on how the Founding Fathers meant the militia to be -- and how the state legislatures could implement it again. This is a MUST READ for every true patriot.
A friend of mine suggested Dr Vieira as RP running mate...
...there would be two doctors in the 'house. :-)

Dr. Vieira as VP would be a good insurance policy for Ron Paul. The establishment wouldn't want to have anything bad happen to Ron Paul. lol
He would also make a great Attorney General.
