Update Link Fixed: Please Give Me Your Input on this Peace-Freedom Symbol

A proposed symbol was posted on the DP forum 12/03/2009; revised versions are on my site http://choosewings.com posted Jan. 5:

Forum replies prodded me to research the classic peace symbol's uncertain origins. Its most common rationale, semaphore ND for Nuclear Disarmament, doesn't represent the broad concept of peace held by the liberty movement.

And the absence of a universal liberty symbol -- not counting rare national or cultural icons (such as the Statue of Liberty) reveals how little importance is given the concept of liberty, in a world of competing symbols for nearly everything else.

The revised image is no longer a linked, inverted peace/freedom design; now it's one symbol representing a free individual in a sphere of peace, open by free action of that individual reaching upward for ever greater fulfillment.

Please help develop this or other universal liberty symbols communicating our core principles, to spread our message, and distinguish our ideals from superficial, partisan pretended advocacy often seen in "peace" or special-interest rallies.

I hope you'll add your thoughts and ideas, here and at my site.

I like it reed!

I like the curvy one...but the ones in color with thicker lines are more recognizable as the 'peace sign" inverted! Maybe a curvy with thicker lines?

I like the black one

the curvy-er lines make it a bit more fluid and natural and less rigid - just like freedom!
