Constitutionalists and Christians have much in common! By joining forces they could quickly regain control of the U.S.!

There is no doubt that Christianity and individual liberty were the primary philosophies that formed this nation and its constitution.

With 76% percent, or 228 million Americans claiming to be Christians, both movements would do well to recognize the overwhelming, unprecedented and unstoppable political power that would result if these natural allies would once again join forces.

I say it's not just coincidence that Mr. Liberty himself is a Christian. Without uttering a word, what an example this man can set!

Let me get this straight.

You are on this sight because you support Ron Paul for President.

Yet, since he is both a constitutionalists and a Christian - you don't think he is qualified to govern.

CONGRATULATIONS DUDE! YOU JUST CHECK MATED YOURSELF!

if Ron Paul

said "Christians" should join the Constitutionalists and re-take the US, I would kick Ron Paul to the curb in a millisecond. Of course, Ron Paul is not dumb enough to say/think that. I hope.

You did good man!

Look at the hits this got!even if it turns out that a few did not agree,Go down and count the ones that did!
The post did make a difference in the outlook of freedom and I think you got some.

Here's George Washington

The father of this country was very private about his beliefs, but it is widely considered that he was a Deist like his colleagues. He was a Freemason.

Historian Barry Schwartz writes: "George Washington's practice of Christianity was limited and superficial because he was not himself a Christian... He repeatedly declined the church's sacraments. Never did he take communion, and when his wife, Martha, did, he waited for her outside the sanctuary... Even on his deathbed, Washington asked for no ritual, uttered no prayer to Christ, and expressed no wish to be attended by His representative." [New York Press, 1987, pp. 174-175]

Paul F. Boller states in is anthology on Washington: "There is no mention of Jesus Christ anywhere in his extensive correspondence." [Dallas: Southern Methodist University Press, 1963, pp. 14-15]
.
.
"Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other cause. Of all the animosities which have existed among mankind, those which are caused by the difference of sentiments in religion appear to be the most inveterate and distressing, and ought most to be depreciated. I was in hopes that the enlightened and liberal policy, which has marked the present age, would at least have reconciled Christians of every denomination so far that we should never again see the religious disputes carried to such a pitch as to endanger the peace of society."
- letter to Edward Newenham, 1792
.

"Gouverneur Morris had often told me that General Washington believed no more of that system (Christianity) than did he himself."
-Thomas Jefferson, in his private journal, Feb. 1800

was this "superficial"?

“ O Most Glorious God, in Jesus Christ, my merciful and loving Father; I acknowledge and confess my guilt in the weak and imperfect performance of the duties of this day. I have called on Thee for pardon and forgiveness of my sins, but so coldly and carelessly that my prayers are become my sin, and they stand in need of pardon.”
“ I have sinned against heaven and before Thee in thought, word, and deed. I have contemned Thy majesty and holy laws. I have likewise sinned by omitting what I ought to have done and committing what I ought not. I have rebelled against the light, despising Thy mercies and judgment, and broken my vows and promise. I have neglected the better things. My iniquities are multiplied and my sins are very great. I confess them, O Lord, with shame and sorrow, detestation and loathing and desire to be vile in my own eyes as I have rendered myself vile in Thine. I humbly beseech Thee to be merciful to me in the free pardon of my sins for the sake of Thy dear Son and only Savior Jesus Christ who came to call not the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Thou gavest Thy Son to die for me.”
[George Washington; from a 24 page authentic handwritten manuscript book dated April 21-23, 1752
William J. Johnson George Washington, the Christian (New York: The Abingdon Press, New York & Cincinnati, 1919), pp. 24-35.]

where is your tollerence

where is your tollerence Fedor?

“Defiance of God’s Law will eventually bring havoc to a society.” - Dr. Ron Paul

Trollerence

One thing I will say is as a non christian Fedor hates Christians with a passion,This is an observation from the side lines.Yet he claims to BE a Christian,I am finding this very impossible to believe.

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Goat in Sheep's Skin

Fedor is not a Christian, especially if he rejects the Bible as God's word as he did in replying to my last post. He is the one who mocks Christ, if anyone on this forum.

of course you do.

I am a Christian and I am observing the GOP, lead by Christians, attack Ron Paul and move away from Liberty. Why? Why would they reject a Republic? Perhaps they have another agenda. A Republic allows people to live as they please. A democracy allows groups to dictate how others live. These Christians are making a mockery of Jesus and Liberty. They are marching down the same road that lead to the murder and destruction of the crusades. All in the name of Jesus. This is painfully obvious.

I do see your concern

But as a non-christian,and I think that you are not also,
And I will have to give you credit for being so passionate about your feeling on the subject of liberty,
and this passion is what this country needs! But would it be better directed towards the one single goal currently at hand?
I think you are closer to the source than most, and that should make you more in tune with reality?

Fedor not ALL Christians are the ones

that you refer to. There are many Christian pro peace churches ..so please distinguish. Stop implying ALL Christians.

I think these are the pro war ones you mean to refer to:

So what you are saying is

that there are good Christians and bad Christians, yet they all use the same reference material?

I have posted many times

for him a number of Christian churches that are pro peace. The problem comes when he says or implies ALL CHRISTIANS.

Thank you Liberty_Belle!

There was a whole website set up before the primaries called Christians for Ron Paul...and most true Christians hold to the ideal that Ron Paul presents when he speaks of 'just war.' I question his judgement in using 'always' or 'never', 'all' or 'none.' A person who does this is not thinking about what they are saying, more often than not.

The GOP

is attacking Ron Paul. What faith are the leaders of the GOP?

In all likelyhood, from varying denominations...

of 'professing Christians' and possibly of other faiths as well. Y'shua said it himself: "Not all who call me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do the will of my Father in Heaven."

I would make no assumptions that all so-called Christians who are attacking Ron Paul really are believers. Look at who the so-called Values Voters, led by Janet Folger Porter, chose! A so -called man of the cloth that was one of the Judicial Watch Top Ten Corrupt Politicians for the year! And they had the chutzpah to jeer and boo at the one Christlike man among them. They would have booed Y'shua too.

Ralph

Look what you started with a simple idea that divided we fall, together we stand,Pretty simple idea that many have torn apart with paranoia and the brainwashing of society against and for religion,It was a good attempt to change the history of this 2000 year old argument.
But it seems that this argument is going to go on for another 2000 years.
In the meantime we are going to continue to be controlled by the powers that be.
Mental blocks can be a powerful thing to crack.

simple idea?

Christians regaining control of the US is a simple idea? It's a bad idea and history has proven why. Waldo was mistaken.

When was the last time you read the Constitution?

If you implement it's words there is nothing to fear from anyone let alone Christians,or any other faith including mine, and you know what mine is!

How about you check out

"the family" Blackwater, Focus on the Family, etc, etc and how about you take a close look at who is attacking Ron Paul from the GOP. Christians. Period. These Christians, not all, but this large group of Christians are the enemy of Liberty. They want control of the states so they can spread their "word". It's disgusting and obvious.

As you yourself said

I could be Source?

A Matter of Worldviews

After reading many of the posts in this thread, it's obvious to me that we have opposing worldviews as to what constitutes the foundation for attaining true liberty. Those who hold to a materialist approach to life (no spiritual beings or things) cannot even appeal to an immaterial entity such as liberty because it is not consistent with that belief system. It is essentially a religion of secular humanism where man claims to be God or the final standard for authority. Interestingly enough, our current government is filled with people who think and act that way, Obama being the most prominent of them.

Yet, we have people in this very thread whose worldviews are no different than his, and yet, they want to enjoy the fruits of another worldview to make sense of things like liberty, justice, and peace. If you take away the roots of where liberty comes from (the Biblical revelation of God and His covenantal relationship to His creatures), you will never have liberty, rights, nor prosperity. The non-theists in this thread who call themselves "free-thinkers" or "freedom-fighters" have no basis whatsoever to even appeal to the principles of our republic when they deny the foundation thereof. After all, you can't get apes to produce a political constitution.

More Christian nonsense!

Your book, the bible, did not invent liberty. There were folks like the Celts, that had an elaborate justice system, including recognizing the rights of women. A situation that infuriated Rome. Your choice to re-write history is a typical "Christian" move and it's still obscene and pathetic. NOW, your christian brothers and sisters are attacking Ron Paul. Your choice to bury your head in the sand and ignore the actions of these Christians and proclaim "liberty" was created by the bible is beyond outrageous. Again, patriots, this is one of our greatest battles.
