I generally like Nick
I generally like Nick Gillespie, but he pulled a typical Reasonoid move in part 5, contradicting himself to concede the idea that seatbelt laws and bans on talking on cell phones while driving "make sense."
No, Nick, they don't -- the issue again is one of personal responsibility and liability, as you talked about when you discussed motor cycle helmets. It's the exact same principle. Instead of pointing this out, you surrendered to the state lovers.
Why does this matter? Because instead of making a cogent case for the vital ideal of freedom, you came off sounding like some guy who just has a different idea about who the state should harrass and how.
Once again, someone affiliated with Reason screws the pooch. With "defenders" of freedom like them, we don't need enemies.
