Ron Paul on the Don Imus Show - Jan 11, 2010

Ron Paul was a guest on the Imus in the Morning Show on Fox Business on Monday, January 11. Thanks to minnesotachris for the videos.
Part II below:

go on howards show
the 2nd time i met Ron Paul i had a few seconds to speak to him, i begged him to go on the Howard Stern show. i guess he thought some kind of Bruno thing would happen. but they all seamed to love him on the show, Howard even asked ba ba boey why RP was not booked. Talking to all these news shows is pointless i would guess most of the viewers of them are either hard core R's or D's with a pack mentality unwilling to hear the reason of the argument. he must do nonpolitical shows to get at the unworked clay

Old Photo
Why o' why do people still use that dated photo of RP? Don't they have access to a more recent one?
Puppets come and puppets go but the world's stage is getting cluttered.
Alice's Restaurant
is my new favorite song! : ) Wouldn't it be great if we started to hear it everywhere...along with Ron Paul, of course.
Donovan, well that's a coincidence...
An old friend of mine lived in the house Donovan grew up in as a child. I remember as an eighteen year old, frequently sitting in his bedroom on a Friday night with friends and a guitar or two, chanting this very song amongst many.
Sadly, my friends son was killed a few years back in Iraq, this same song was played at his funeral...

How do guys like Imus get
How do guys like Imus get work? The guy can't even articulate a sentence... SERIOUSLY... it's shocking!
Yes, he did right by Dr. Paul, but he's taking work away from millions of folks a lot more skilled than he is... sad... very sad....
I agree
the guy appears to be incompetent.
Starting off, he had a good
Starting off, he had a good voice and mind for radio...plus, he had a good support team.
Once he developed a strong following, he rode all this out for decades.
Why are people drawn to him? He's a character, he's not too intimidating, but not just another pansy talk show host...basically, a man.
And let's face it, people respond to a matter of fact, deep voice. It says "leadership". Ron Paul lacks that...and it hurts him. Whenever people critisize Paul, they say that he's not a leader, that his voice is too high.
Yes, people are idiots for not looking past this, but this is one of our major challenges.
Meanwhile, blokes like Imus, Rush, Beck, Savage, Ventura easily broke through our animal social barrier solely because of their voice.
That is why I stress the importance of dressing, speaking, moving, etc. like a leader when trying to present some information about Ron Paul. Whether it be at a Tea Party or at the watercooler, if you are dressed well and drop the bass in your voice to its normal level, people will listen to what you have to say.
That's an intersting observation on the deepness of ones voice
Never thought of that before.
He can be relied upon to avoid serious discussion.
He's done that quite well. I'm sure the Ron Paul appearance was for the purpose of his maintaining credibility with business news viewers.
Imus has built his career on suck-up interviews to establishment figures. He's done a bang-up job.
I'll take a Ron Paul appearance wherever it can be had, of course.

Wow. Ron Paul is everywhere.
Is there any sort of measurement about how his exposure can relate to more votes?
The only thing that will get more votes...
is getting access to the little black boxes that record them. Until there are paper ballots counted in the open I can have no faith in our electoral process. With that being said, I think there are many better ways to influence society than through a vote.
A bigger statement may be not to vote. Don't add to their legitimacy by choosing between the lesser of two evils. Instead, stand outside your precinct with a "Don't Do It!!!" sign and let people know that you are not voting because there is nobody in the race who embodies your ideals and principles. (If there is someone who does do that, vote for that person but not anyone else.)
Change doesn't come from Washington DC, or Great Britain, or Caesar, or Pharaohs, but from individuals who work for change within their local community and assert their natural rights and ignore the edicts of the leviathan federal state.

Congrats on your win yesterday...
I think I am about to get the boot on TCU. I'm going to try to stay low for a while. Good luck next weekend with the Colts.
Ron Paul 2012 for Peace
We've GOT to donate to Ron's re-election
if for no other reason than to keep his message at the forefront. He wouldn't be on the news all the time if he wasn't making the "powers that be" uncomfortable. He also wouldn't be on the news if he wasn't a U.S. Congressman doing it.
Interviews like this keep him topical. Keeps people thinking. I'm broke, but I'm going all-in for his campaign. If nothing else, to support one breath of truth...
So...
How old is Imus now?
127
or so.

Stole my thunder Lawson...
I was going to say about 135. He looks like T. Jefferson dug up from the grave, and a cowboy hat, slapped on top.
I think he has a constant IV drip of embalming fluid going.

Did the Crypt Keeper ever do a country western night?
Because everytime I see Imus I think of him.
