Recent import/export data show China replaced Germany as the world's largest exporter in 2009, and the U.S. as the world's biggest auto market. In 2010, China's surging economy is set to supplant Japan as the world's second largest.
With the global economy still in trouble, especially in U.S. Europe, China's rise is spurring a "real anti-China backlash," according to Gerald Celente, director of the Trends Research Institute. "Those who have the gold rule [and] a lot of people don't want to see China rule."
In addition to U.S. tariffs on Chinese tires and rolled steel, Celente says there are already more than 200 different trade barriers erected globally, with more to come: "You're going to see ‘Not Made in China' become a slogan around the world," he predicts...

I'm re-naming Gerald Celente, "Quippy McOneliner"
I like him. He's funny. And often right.

Unbelievable...
That interview said it all to me.
Celente is wrong on this issue...We Want China to be prosperous
It is an absurd notion that we boycott chinese goods. Trade is always positive... import or export...as long as it is free and unfettered..The fact of the matter is that our falling dollar will do what Gerald implores us to do and that is....our price of chinese goods will go up via the exchange rate and thus China will be a major buyer of our Tech and industrial machinery etc etc and we will be poorer because of our falling dollar and thus will gravitate to buying "made in America" simply due to the exchange rate favoring domestic manufacturing

money is power, and the more
money is power, and the more money and profits we send to China the more power they get.

Celente's not trying to lead anyone, he's predicting
Only time will tell if he's wrong. He's not saying People should", he's saying "people might".

Celente has also
predicted a new third party. Screw the GOP!
Funny this should be brought up
I was saying to my hubby a while back that the media and TV were making a concerted effort to demonize China. I happened upon some programs on the History Channel about Nostradamus and his predictions (I know, complete B.S.) They kept talking about predictions that the Orient (Which they took to mean China, of course) was seen to seek world domination. Much like, I remember, Russia used to be targeted and Persia was going to produce the Anti-Christ.
We both feel that it's more mass manipulation. So when China is rightfully pissed off when we renege on T bills etc, etc, etc. The sheeple can say, "See..China wants to destroy us because Nostradamus said so! So... SCREW THEM!"
We had better do something soon.
Why China’s unexpected export, import growth is a good sign for others
China vaulted past Germany to become the world’s biggest exporter last month as its export, import volume jumped by 18 and 56 percent. The increases are a positive sign for global trade, especially for countries that sell to China.

Isn't that interviewer the same one
who mocked RP so disrespectfully during the presidential campaign?
