When you go into the DMV to get your driver's license, you must fill out an application including ?s about your medical history. Very few things are obvious, glasses, crutches, canes. If you pass the test & don't need a doctor's note, the DMV will give you your license, or permission to drive your own car that you paid for.
If at any time during your license it is deemed, suggested or thought that you are unfit to drive by the police, your doctor, etc., they can report it to the DMV so you can be sent a long medical form to be filled out, including the release of your medical records for their review.
If you survive that, you get to keep your license, only now it's probably cost you about $1500 for a doctor's visit & the hiring of an attorney if you had to have a hearing. However, if in your questionnaire anything pops up as suspicious, meaning the information about your blood relatives makes them question if you have the same disability or the potential for it, your qualification comes into question. Never mind this whole time that you need your license to drive a car so you can get to work, to the doctor, to church, to the grocery store.
Once you have your license, then you are subject to getting points on it for the mere act of driving your car for such victim-less acts as running stop signs sometimes that you don't see, too bad, going over the speed limit that you didn't know was so slow, b/c you were tuning your radio at the time & missed it, if you drive intoxicated w/out getting into an accident, the list goes on & on.
Once you have accumulated enough points, your license gets suspended, at which time it makes it a crime to drive your own car, a crime to drive to the doctor's, the grocery store/ farmer's market, a crime to drive to work.
You see how the DMV has the ability to render you un-functional as a person, all in the name of public safety! See what the innocent, good-natured act of making driving a privilege for public safety has turned into, your own worst enemy! Funny, if you complain to the DMV girl about all of this, she'll probably just blow a big bubble & say NEXT!
In many states, your ability to drive is conditional upon a psychiatrist's ok, should it come to that point. How do you prove you don't have mental illness, a question for a psychiatrist?
In Texas read 521, 522 of the Transportation Code
and 644 of the government code. Even the definition of transportation is commercial. All drivers licenses are commercial, insurers only insure commercial vehicles, ask your insurance agent if he can insure your private vehicle and see what his response is. Motor vehicle is by definition a commercial vehicle. In Texas before 1963 the word commercial appeared before the word vehicle in the transportation code. In 1963 they removed the word but not any of the meaning of the code. It's a scam.

Vehicles are
3500 hundred pound machines rolling at 60 miles per hour. I dont mind the rules, but the question is should the government be involved in regulating them when there is purely a conflict of interest because it is a primary way for the state to raise funds. When I'm going 54 in a 35 and the road that's a 35 should obviously be at least a 45, and I end up paying a $180 ticket for that, then I feel like something is off.
Remember the mass draft card burning ... maybe this is next.

...because there is no victim. I refuse to go into any more detail as it should not be needed. Don't talk about any theoretic victim either. It's a slippery slope to putting people in jail for years for driving drunk and the POSSIBILITY of killing a schoolbus full of children and nuns.
On a different note, DMV's in Pennsylvania don't accept cash. Anyone else find it a little "off" that a state agency doesn't accept Federal Reserve Notes?

If you engage in these dangerous behaviors, then you deserve to be punished and have your license revoked for repeat violations. Not paying attention while operating a vehicle or driving while impaired is a direct safety threat to other people on the road, and mostly certainly NOT "a victim-less act".

Drunk driving is not a good idea , many innocent people die from it.
In common law ,you would be able to do what you want till you injured someone else aka drunk and/or drugged traveling . Under common law that party responsible for the death or damage would have no quarter from the full force of the Law. Not so much and eye for an eye because you could put a first position lien on defendant and their property ,the responsible party losses his house car legal tender FRN's, investments,everthingand he/she goes to jail for life or worst depending on the state and their laws on murder. A drunk/druggy would only be able to violate ONCE.
I am sure there would be no way to become a repeatoffender. So drunk driving is not the crime ,The crime is committed when a Sovereign violates another sovereign's rights, life or property (children,) I think the gov should not be the one to dictate morality,those who are immoral would not last very long in a free society,there would be no cashing in on their cestui que trust for profit of these commercial courts. What obligation does anyone have to even let them self be detained by an officer when there has been no injured party? The mere detention by the officer creates an injured party... the detention causes loss of time which we all know is money... so if the officer is detaining someone then he should pay for their time.
However if someone in not responsibly controlling their vehicle, intoxicated, or etc and causes loss of property or life etc then they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The Liberty a society retains is inversely proportional to the number of Lawyers in the Government.
What we need are attorneys to sue the states for fraud.
The right of travel is not something state authorities have the authority to regulate. Once the corrupt judges throw out the suits, picket the courthouses with documented evidence of the truth.
