I hope all of the energy will be put to spreading the love message
not fighting the neo-cons. They will take each other out with the negative campaigning.

whatever
Just vote for Ron Paul
Aren't there any compromising photos of Hucklebee floating ...;D
Aren't there any compromising photos of Hucklebee floating around out there? LOL
Sorry, I know this is serious business. I got temporarily brainwashed by my smellyvision and started to let the coverage get to me ...it's depressing.
I'll try not to let it happen again. Go Ron Go !!

I don't even want to think
I don't even want to think about photos of Huckabee in a compromising position.
But Romney -- now that's another story. I mean, he's a looker.
(It's just a joke, folks.)

Romney Won’t Let the Hucksterbee Win
Romney didn’t spend all that money out of his personal fortune to let a preacher with major baggage beat him.
There are already stories about fliers on people’s windshield that make Huckabee look like Mike Dukakis.
By the end of next week the “Huckabee is a Rape Enabler” push polls are going to be all over Iowa and South Carolina. The last two weeks of December are going to be the Mike Huckabee’s longest days.
El Dorado
I thnk the reason the
I thnk the reason the huckmeister won't win is when the long distance charges on his cell phone hit from all those conversations with God, his pathetic money bombs won't be able to cover the bill.
Huckabee won't win because
Huckabee won't win because Dr. Paul is gonna win.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs.

"Huckabee won't win because Dr. Paul is gonna win."
Now THAT is concise analysis.
actually
this thread is pertinent. I mean in the sense that radiometric dating is about as accurate as "scientific" polling. Really, they both have small sample sizes. They both assume many variables. And most importantly, they both choose the results that fit their own presuppositions. Paul is going to win!
Wrong Again, Matthew.
Paul is going to win BIG!
Right!
I watched "Cinderella Man" lastnight and had thoughts of Paul being the James J. Braddock of the presidential race.
Divide and conquer. It's all BS
Freedom is not FREE!!
One question? What would Ron Paul do or say? But that is okay for if we get off track we will eventually never have the opportunity for discussion of anything. What matters here is WINNING> Don't let anyone get you off track at this point. Once the election is won all of you can FREELY discuss anything you want without the government interferring. nough said!
Freedom is not FREE!!
I am quite sure that Ron
I am quite sure that Ron Paul continues to have other interests in his life besides the election. I'm sure that he has discussions with people where not everyone agrees.
I can't imagine this scenario:
Dr. Paul: What's for supper tonight, Carol?
Carol: I was going to fix some fish sticks.
Dr. Paul: That's fine, but I was hungry for tacos.
Carol: Oh, Ron! We can't afford to be divided during this critical election period! I will prepare cold cereal and we will eat it in silence with the lights off.
Maybe more like this
"Thank you, friends, all for coming to our Ron Paul meetup gathering. "
"Now that you've had your dessert, the first order of business will be a discussion of whether Buddhism or Taoism, or hidden messages in the Bible, represent the true road to enlightenment."
"In fact, we decided to spend a few hours on this because we think it's really interesting and important, which it undoubtedly is. What could be more important than our own salvation?"
Well, That's a Bit Overdone
This is one thread out of thousands in a forum. One can look over the thread and choose to either 1) participate, 2) not participate, 3) try to stop others from participating.
When you go to a meeting, you and everyone else there has sacrificed time, energy and the chance to be doing some other activity in order to join together to discuss a common agenda in a limited period of time. None of that applies to this one little forum thread that you are free to take or leave as you see fit.
Gator, you've got a good point there..
So have at it.
But your argument could be made by anyone wanting to discuss anything on the forum. Plus getting into theological arguments can be sort of divisive, and ultimately, it can lead to discord where the points of disagreement are not relevant to Dr. Paul's campaign. That was my major concern.
Doc, I understand your
Doc, I understand your concerns and I'm not saying that they have no merit. I have led the charge to 'flag as offensive' some troll's posts now and then.
But this discussion wasn't posted by a troll with the intention of upsetting the apple cart. This discussion grew naturally out of other topics. As far as I'm concerned everyone has behaved well and I for one have not been offended (and yes, you can offend an atheist, a Mitt Romey speech will usually do it and if that fails, trot out the Huckster).
This whole thing really turned into a free speech issue for me, rather than a religious issue or whatever the orignal post was supposed to be about (doh!)
ha! very funny...
I love the little scenarios Ron Paul supporters dream up...
that was a good laugh!
buddhism anyone?
I dont believe in creationism, but I beleive in Jesus's message, and also believe that he was a bodhisattva, which is an enlightened person in buddhism. Its amazing the parallels between the teachings of Jesus and Siddhartha Gotama. Their mesage, peace and compassion towards your neighbor! And this sounds a lot like a certain someone running for office.....go RP!
talk about it all here live on the only 24/7 Ron Paul chatroom!

In other Eastern matters, Confucius said:
Don't do anything to another that you wouldn't want to have done to you.
That's amazingly similar to the Golden Rule ala Jesus Christ. Jesus phrases it a bit more positively (and therefore with furthur reaching consequences) but it's still basically the same.
Finally, here's some articles from Lew Rockwell relating Ron Paul to Taoism!

Since this thread has evolved into
a debate on creation vs. evolution, why don't you participants take your discussion over to http://www.evcforum.net/, where it won't detract from our purpose here, which is to spread the word on why electing Ron Paul is our best and perhaps last chance to save America from tyranny and dissolution.
If that is not your purpose also, then what the h*ll are you doing here?
Sorry, I agree with Joan.
This forum is not a place to discuss anything and everything.
The main point that started
The main point that started this debate is that Huckabee is NOT a GOP insider and he was not labeled a "1st tier" candidate at the beginning of the year.
Furthermore, regardless of what you believe about evolution, the GOP leadership does NOT want a candidate representing them that does not believe in evolution. Can you imagine what Hillary and the democrats would do to beat up a candidate that didn't believe in evolution? They would have half the population thinking Huckabee came here straight out of the stone age.
This is all good for Ron Paul. If the MSM takes down Huckabee, pro-life vote may go the Ron Paul, since the other four so-called "1st tier" candidates are very weak in the eyes of Christian conservatives.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for James Madison.
But it's not everything and
But it's not everything and everything.
It's a naturally evolving (hehe) discussion.
Are you telling me that I should start flagging as offensive any thread with a mention of religion? Is that fair to Christians? Is that fair to atheists? Is that fair to those who need elucidation on the issues?
Why do you reject Ron's
Why do you reject Ron's policy of endorsing free association?
People who have met in this forum have found a common interest (although they take differing views of the subject) and are freely discussing it.
Imagine that!
Why don't YOU go post on a Guiliani forum, after all he says that freedom is all about following authority..
TenoG, Do You Accept My Challenge?
I posted a challenge above for you, you might have missed it in the fray. I offer it again, and I must say, I'm chomping at the bit because I have devoted a bit of time in developing a series of references from your preferred King James Bible.
I can show you multiple contradictions in the Bible's account of the central event in Christianty. You will be free to explain the discrepancies -- if you can.
Are you game?
Everybody else can lighten up slighty...

I can't imagine why this isn't the right place to discuss this issue. Besides, that cat is waaaaay out of the bag,
Not Here
We've taken the topic too far here already. Arguing origins is not the purpose of this forum. If you wanna argue it, let's take it to an appropriate forum.
