Why is Sarah Palin associated with Tea Parties?
Submitted by atrickpay on Tue, 01/12/2010 - 17:04
How gullible are some of these Tea Party members? She is just a Bush neo-con who happened to oppose the bailouts (EDIT: it's come to my attention that she was not against the bailout).
That's pretty weak credentials is it not?

The real Tea Parties (that
The real Tea Parties (that is, Ron Paul conservative) were hijacked to an extent by the neocons. That is why the likes of Sarah Palin are *now* involved with them.
The neocons actually think they can reabsorb Ron Paulers back into their fold. That is why Glenn Beck, the NYT, etc. keep parroting messages/movements that come from the Revolution (e.g., End the Fed).
But we will never be reabsorbed again...not after seeing a real conservative get so close to the Presidency.
Instead, we try to use the Tea Parties to convert well-meaning Republican voters to assert their desire to replace fake conservative leaders with real conservative leaders.
The interesting thing was how the original Tea Party was fairly staged to blow off some steam of free-thinkers. It was meant to dissuade people from starting a revolution. However, the importance of that event actually ignited the American Revolution.
Although the current Tea Parties were not staged, the attempt to hijack it has actually made it easier to get access to confused conservatives. Again, this can become a real catalyst for us.
The neocons think they have one-up'd us by hijacking our message, but really they are adding fuel to the fire. We need only get people to really want true conservative leadership.
The "Tea Parties" are going to backfire on the GOP
They further dilute both the "conservative" and "Republican" labels. The traditional GOP is in its "death throws," and "Ron Paul liberty candidates" will become a dominant force in American politics.
Anyone who knows me knows I'm anything but an optimist.
However, that is my prediction.
Most of those people probably
Most of those people probably voted for mr. bush, and the majority of those who did probably, in retrospect, would do it again and will vote for Jeb in 2012. I have a feeling that many of those people would not be showing up to any protests if mr. mccain was the president right now.

Calling Palin a neocon just makes her more popular with them.

Regarding Palin: I believe we are watching in real time the rise of the third party, which will be controlled by the powers that be from its' inception.

Because Fox News says she is?
And Fox News said Rudy was a front runner in 2008.
And they said that McCain was a true conservative because he is pro-WAR anywhere and everywhere.
If you aren't chanting WAR you are a liberal according to Fox News.
Funny thing is it was a bunch of anti-war pro-military people who gave Ron Paul the largest one day fundraising tea-party in history.
Sarah is their answer to replace Dr. Paul as head of the teaparty with SOB/scum sucker Glenn Beck ranting as the mouthpiece of the disgruntled.
Mark my words...
In 1980 we were given Reagan (Liberty) Vs. Bush (NEO-CON) because Goldwater was unacceptable to the establishment.
This time around the establishment is set against Ron Paul; so they are graciously going to give you a choice between Palin (Liberty) and Romney (Harvard NEO-CON).
The problem is that like Reagan, Palin will preach liberty and once in office she will be a big spending establishment NEO-CON.
She bent over for McCain and she will do it again for a promotion from the establishment in 2012.
But unlike Reagan I think Palin is content to bend over for Romney and settle for his vice prez.

You learn from the TV well
Palin's been the punching bag of media and Hollywood. I think she has good intentions and has been unfairly bashed. I SAID IT! AND...I think some of the bashing that goes on is chauvinism (the sexist variety). I know those that are guilty won't admit it. I'm not a militant libber or anything but I do believe in calling it like it is.
You know for all the time I've been against her
I understand what you are saying because I am thinking the same thing.
Like maybe she was pressured during the campaign to be a certain way that she may not have wanted, said things that she didn't want to say, etc.
But it only takes 1 second to realize that I support Ron Paul for the exact opposite of that. He wouldn't say just anything to get a vote and he won't corrupt his integrity to be a hypocrite.
I would only want someone with their integrity intact. I would never want a Palin if she compromised herself and her integrity.
Additionally I wouldn't want someone that would be so hypocritical as to give her own daughter the option of choice, in that her daughter would have been allowed to make her own decision about getting an abortion, but she is so willing to deny that choice from anyone else.
Another main reason I don't like her because I believe she places religion over freedom.
I disagree with Ron Paul over a few things but I know that he would never place his religious beliefs over a fellow man/woman.
As a matter of fact I think that is one of the things he feels is great about this country, and I agree with him, so in the same vein I would never want to deny that of someone but I think Sarah Palin would.
Palin would be a terrible representative of what the U.S. is supposed to be and for all that I would not have voted for Obama he is more of a representative but in only that he is a cross-representation of Americans (and our melting pot) and that everyone has a chance to succeed.
That doesn't mean Obama knows what he's doing but then again a lot of people in both parties are doing what they know and that is looking out for themselves first.

I think she has the right intentions
and got hooked up with the wrong crowd. I think she found out after getting in that it was the wrong fit. She rode it out and I don't think she'd make that mistake again. I think there is more to her than the media wants us to believe. I'm watching her closely with an unbiased eye.
I think
she's in this for the money.
Well I can see right through her with my eyes
I'd never think about her to represent anything on my behalf.

Brave soul, you are!
I agree with you. Their collective rage at her is irrational and chauvinistic (from women, especially!) and, IMHO, it is a reason why it is not a good idea for her to lead Tea Party conventions. She's too despised.
However, on a different subject, she has been completely unquestioning regarding our endless military occupations (and of course, no one in the media or Hollywood has criticized her on this substantive issue.)
Aren't I ?!
I was ready for the Israeli Terrorist Blogger or Neocon Troll accusations. Sometimes a different opinion (other than the DP Status Quo) isn't well received. I just find it interesting that anytime a woman holds a power position she is mocked. I can't recall anyone in recent years that wasn't.

"Why is Sarah Palin associated with Tea Parties?"
Because she sometimes wears her hair in a bun, and sometimes wears tea-length dresses?

I believe it is an attempt to take over the Tea Parties by the Republican Party (New World Order crowd). Palin did run with John McInsane.

I almost feel sorry for the PTB... they just don't get it. They think we're stupid enough to buy that- we're not.
Why?
Because she's such a bag.
Same reason she quit...
If enough people are seen to be independent for the next Presidential election, they will have someone to stick in there.

Any evidence that she's a neo-con?
Note that supporting an invasion of another country, such as Afghanistan or Iraq, does not make one a neo-con. Ron Paul supported the invasion of Afghanistan. That's not what makes a neo-con. A neo-con is someone who believes that we should use our military to overthrow governments for the purpose of setting up democracies, even if they don't believe those governments are a threat to us. They are for nation building, believing U.S. has a moral calling to do this spread democracy and freedom around the world.
So any evidence that she's a neoconservative?
(I'm not claiming she's not. I'm just asking, because I haven't seen evidence of it.)
"“Censorship” is a term pertaining only to governmental action. No private action is censorship. No private individual or agency can silence a man or suppress a publication; only the government can do so." -Ayn Rand
Your premise is incorrect because your definition is wrong...
I hate to contradict that ultimate seat of truth called "Wikipedia" - but the "Neoconservatives" are not people who believe in using the military to spread democracy. That is a complete and utter fallacy. The term "neoconservative" began as a joke back at the Chicago School and the combination with the American Communist Party. When you put "Neoclassic" columns on your house, they are not "new" or "improved" - they are "fake-classic" or "faux-classic". That is what the term "Neoconservative" means - a "fake conservative". People like Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bill Kristol, etc... were Democrat power players, but they realized that the Democrat Party was not left-wing enough. They used socio-religious issues to expand their movement and hired charismatic televangelists to begin the conditioning. They used Reagan's cover as a conservative (I think he really was one in the beginning) to carry out their military goals, to gain massive world wealth, and to increase the power of the executive branch.
The belief by the Neocons in military-imperialism has nothing to do with freedom or democracy - it has to do with natural resources, wealth and maintaining a pretend enemy so we can be controlled. They are communists essentially.
As for Palin - during the campaign she followed the Neocon playbook to perfection, from the Patriot Act to supporting the Empire against a created enemy. No question about it from me - Palin is Neocon.

Ron supported a surgical strike against well-defined threats. Letters of Marque and Reprisal.

Ron Paul
voted in favor of the war in Afghanistan that Bush started while he was president. That's just a plain and simple fact.
