Leave him alone, don't poke at a rattlesnake and expect not to get bit. He has been in his own prison for 10 years going on a life sentence. That should be more than enough time for the charges against him. Some people just want to be left alone and mind their own business, why is that so hard to understand?

'Without 'the law' there's be ANARCHY in the streets! Good thing there are them there LAWS to protect 'US'!...'
Laws protect people huh? I'll play along. I'm kind of bored this afternoon. Let me share a brief story with you.
I once studied under a very wise and frequently amusing Sensei. One day, with a few new students in class, he asked how many of them felt that they would be able to defend themselves once they recieved their black belt. A few hands went up. My Sensei asked each of them, in turn, if they were certain that a black belt would help them to defend themselves. There was a bit of hesitation, but one by one each of the students replied that they were pretty certain that a black belt would indeed help them to defend themselves. My Sensei paused for a few moments, raising his hand to his chin as if to ponder his thoughts. He then took off his belt, a black one with 4 gold stripes on it, and offered to trade it with one of the new students wearing a white belt. The student wasn't quite sure what to make of this offer, so he passed on the offer from my Sensei. And so it went with the rest of those students who had thought a black belt would help them to defend themselves. My Sensei then knelt before the class, laying his black belt before him. He closed his eyes, placed his hands behind his back, and then asked the class if they believed his black belt would protect him if he were attacked at that very moment. It was quite obvious that the belt laid before him meant nothing, nor would it do anything to help him should he be attacked at that moment.
The law is more useless than that belt. At least the belt will hold a Gi closed or your pants up.
Now then...story told. What in your opinion obligates that man, John, to obeying 'the law'? Please think about it.

He assaulted a police officer. An officer that none of you know, that was doing his job to protect and serve the public, in an area that he is most probably a resident and grew up, from someone that may or may not be sane/driving dangerously/intoxicated/illegally.
If this were an illegal immigrant driving with a "tin license plate" and holed up in a home for 10 years I am almost certain most of you that are supporting this insanity would say "drop some napalm on him" or "nuke him" or something to that extent.
Hypocrites.

The "Police" are not the enemy, nor are they a friend.
They are many times, with exception to a few, the private enforcers of administratorial code.
Administratorial code handed down from the Federal Reserve.
They are collectors, mostly "debt collectors" here to collect their tax on you for doing something considered burdensom to the state. Whether that be protesting, driving drunk, illegally shouting in a crowded hall, or just simply speaking back to one of them.
Many of them function in this format without even knowing they are doing it, many good law abiding officers function in precisely this format.
But they still ARE acting as enforcement agents of an illegal contract, for the Fed, for the treasury of the Federal Reserve.
They aren't thinking about their actions only about enforcing justice, which to many of them means breaking a few bones or breadcrumbs. If that is what it takes to do their job, then so be it.
It is this kind of collectivist cancer that has hollowed out our republic. We stood for something brave and true, with purpose and passion when we were young. Now as a nation we are nothing but a tax collecting, enforcing, thug-enabled enterprise of property & tax confiscation.
They aren't there to serve and protect you, they are there to collect their lein, period. In a post fed world, the necessity of excess police would go down by mountains since there would not be such a enforceable racketeering scam to protect. Just a Sherriff like it used to be would all but keep the law in order.
in assuming that the function of the police is "to protect and serve the public". In fact, their primary function is to protect the power of the State, via maintaining public order. "Protecting the public" is just a secondary and incidental part of their real reason for existing.
By way of example, just how many peaceful protesters have police "protected" lately, instead of harassing or even outright attacking? Ponder that little inconvenient fact.
Unless you were there first hand to witness what transpired between him and that officer, you're making an assumption. After all, it's not as if police officers are trained to lie or anything like that, right?
The Supreme Court of the USA has stated that police are under no obligation to protect you, and you have the right to use force to resist an unlawful arrest, deadly force if necessary. Granted that officer's motivation may have been to protect, but it is not their job. Perhaps this man recognizes that fact and is asserting his natural right to resist what he sees as unwarranted force.

They do have the right to pull someone over for not having a license plate don't they?
And they do have a right not to be assaulted don't they?
They are citizens too you know.
And I'm not an advocate for a police state or anything but supporting someone who may be a whacked out criminal just because you think he is some kind of hero is not just ridiculous it is irresponsible.
Why shouldn't everyone drive around with no license plate? Or no insurance? And wielding firearms?
Perhaps this man is crAzy and asserting his natural psychopathic tendencies.
My point is cops aren't all bad, they are vets and patriots too and they have rights as well so don't just side with someone blindly without knowing the real story.

Firstly, I wouldn't call the police for anything. They don't work for, or serve, me. I've had cops work against my interests more often than not.
And driving with no plate is exercising your right to travel per the constitution, as is driving with a firearm, which i do regularly and no insurance as well. These are personal choices that should not be regulated by the state.
