Positive Ron Paul Energy

Great article on the street: Ron Paul Quietly Converting GOP Believers

And another one on IowaPolitics.com:

Note Ron Paul is getting his message out now. And people are listening. While some of us may think the TV ad lacks creativity, it is reaching people as well as the radio ads. Soon there will be a great print ad. Meanwhile many, many volunteers are in Iowa as well as Ron Paul and his family and staff. They need all the positive energy from us that they can get.

As far as the fair voting issue, I am finding many organizations online to get involved in. There is on-going debate and action in many quarters.

Personally, I believe the more effective place to effect change is in the larger movement...not just fair voting for Ron Paul, but fair voting for everyone. As far as the Iowa Straw Poll, it is very important, but primarily to increase our numbers...bring more people into the We The People arena. There is only one candidate for We The People and we know who that is!

Pro Life? Watch out for Social Conservatism!

Fout's implication that Ron Paul supports a "Pro-Life" plank in his platform is incorrect and will ultimately lead to alienating many potential voters.

While it is true that Ron Paul is personally Pro-Life, his political position is in alignment with the Libertarian philosophy that the Government should have ZERO say over what individuals do with their own bodies.

I support Ron Paul because I understand this distinction, but I think Fout's assertion that Paul is Pro-Life will only ultimately destroy his campaign.

I am also leery of Todd Seavey's claim in the same article that success will come from the "fusionism" of social conservatism and the Libertarian desire for smaller government because these philosophies are diametrically opposed to one another. Social Conservatives rely on big government to institute controls on what individuals do on a personal level, be it sex, drugs, birth control, or other personal choices. Libertarians rightly believe the opposite is true. Fusing these two contrasting views will only lead to disaster for the campaign.

Social Conservatism needs to be ditched by the Ron Paul campaign at all costs!

It is Libertarianism and fiscal conservatism which need to be emphasized.

Great Post

Congressman Paul looks like he could easily do a 15k. At 71 he is in great shape. Thanks for bringing it to our attention

Hmm

I'm starting to wonder if all posts are written by a dedicated Paul supporters. Some don't sound right to me. What do you think?

Are we being infiltrated by those who would divide and conquer? They wouldn't do that.... would they? Yes? .... Really?..... OMG ....!

Stay focused, on point, don't get sidelined, and passover they fray.

David Cameron

Hmm

Besides, the last time a conservative got drubbed in a presidential election was Barry Goldwater in 1964. His loss did lead conservatives to their greatest win -- Ronald Reagan.

Yeah, that only took 16 years. If current trends continue, the USA will be destroyed by then.

"We have to get away from corporate medicine and stay away from socialized medicine," Paul said. "Move in the direction of delivering the service through free-market forces. I am absolutely confident that is the best way to do it."

I'm confused. Wouldn't corporate medicine still exist in a 'free market' system? It wouldn't be corporatism, but you'd still have large corporations. So I don't see how you can 'get away from' corporate medicine.

I think Dr. Paul has a lot more to say on it. Here's more:
