With the phenomenal growth of his popularity over the last 2 years... and with more growth to come...
Answer these two questions...
1-- How many die hard supporters will contribute to his Announcement Money Bomb?
2-- How much do you think will be raised in that money bomb?
Remember when he was virtually unknown.. his highest 24 hour period was 58,407 people donating a total of 6.03 million(6 million, 30 thousand), which is an average of $100.30 per person!!
In the last election he received at least 1 million votes (that we know of)...and raised a little over 30 million in his entire campaign. And now ... with CFL having over 600,000 member's, can you imagine how much a preplanned announcement moneybomb will generate??
How much can he raise in his first money bomb?
So ??? answer the above 2 questions-- with your stats as to why you think your prediction will be correct...
(This thread will be printed and sent to both his office in Washington DC and his home in Texas-- so feel free to encourage him to run here as well..Once he sees these numbers--and your messages-- it is quite possible it will inspire him to seriously consider the financial implications of what would happen when/if he says yes to running!!)

about this moneybomb... This should raise the amount of $$ by anywhere from $60,000- $600,000!!! (to say the least)
Keep in mind people... as the debate goes on, and Ron Paul slams the other participants..many people will Google Ron Paul, and find out more about him. Even "old school Republicans" will. There will also be a very strong Emotional Response from the Ron Paul supporters...which may cause the moneybomb to increase stronger than even thought possible....
Then only thing that could make this bigger, would be Ron Paul actually announcing he is definitely Running for President!

Clearly, the money has to come earlier in the election cycle
than last time. November was too late. Any major money bombs need to be this summer to get the most impact and give him time to use the money to sway opinions.

It was brilliant of him (or his website designers) to have a set goal in 2008, and show the money coming in, with names of donors. Without that, it's too easy for people to just assume he's got enough money without their help.
It was stated in his letter, that the counter will be up
on his website on or before the day(May 5th)
So ,that will fuel momentum!

The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.

I think this is very VERY important now to get Dr Paul well out in front of anyone else.
That is going to be difficult to get ahead of the celebration of war going on right now on the media. I get the relief etc of all the families and ANYONE who lost a loved one on Sept 11, but there seems to be a lot of RINOs and DINOs supporting the idea of eternal war.
The Hatfields and the McCoys were rank amatures compared to this.

know what the campaign financing laws are with respect to email lists. I'm not sure if the C4L is allowed to make their 600,000 member email list available to Ron's campaign/exploratory committee. I would guess that they probably aren't allowed to notify the members themselves either due to their nonprofit status.
Ron's Facebook has 339,778 fans. I'm not sure how much overlap there is to the C4L list. I suppose he could legally use the contact lists from previous moneybombs but I don't know how that all works or what restrictions apply.
On a side note,
we need a collection of clips with recent attacks on the Dr. Paul. (not electable, isolationist, fringe candidate, etc.) Nothing helps a moneybomb like a little negative motivation. It puts a little fire in the belly. lol

For a Succesful Moneybomb.
You need momentum and lots of publicity. My worry is that it might be too soon in the election cycle for a huge moneybomb. In any case, I wouldn't throw too many moneybombs before we're past a couple of debates and the election cycle is in full swing.
It would be nice to see $20 million or so, but I woulnd't expect too much at this point in time. Anything above $2 million would be great imho.

since he has not yet announced that he is going to run, there may be people who are reluctant to donate, or at least to donate all out, etc! I think the HUGE MONEYBOMB/S WILL BE WHEN HE ANNOUNCES THAT HE IS INDEED RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!!

As far as this time frame last run. We all know what he did in the 4th quarter, but during the summer when the needed ground game should have been taking place, I am assuming he was on a tight budget.

My money bomb strategy
Last time in total I donated $1,100 to RP 2008. This time I'm going all in: $2,400. It will take some savings and it's going to mean scrimping elsewhere for a while but this must be done... This will be Dr Paul's last run and it will be the best chance I've ever had to cast a vote which really counts for something.
So my strategy:
Money bomb #1: 50% ($1,200)
To show RP 2012 is serious I'm going 1/2 in right up front. Dec 16th of this year? I think so
Money bomb #2,3,...: $100 each
Money bomb pre-Super Tuesday: (All the rest...)
I'm going 1/2 in on the first money bomb and then maybe $100 here and there. Then hopefully there will be another one immediately prior to Super Tuesday and I'll put in the rest.
