Go to India if you want to see Anarchy in Motion (traffic)

Hahahahaha -- you'll see how it might work in moder times, smile.

HaHa, I JUST saw this in a film about the 1905 Earthquake

I'm guessing this is the same footage. There's a part where a horse and buggy almost hits the camera car, a trolley, a man and then the camera car again. I can see why they came up with things like lanes and signals though. Whoa!
Does this one include the post-earthquake footage too? That's sad, but the funny part was these two guys who pop up looking so suspicious it's obvious they were up to no good. I love the life they led.

How did they ever get along

I love it!
People seemed pretty connected back in those days. Forget traffic laws, what about loitering :P

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Great Video !

Looks like most people dressed better in those days.

Did you notice the iron wheels on some of those horse drawn wagons?

beesting

That street scene had many "near misses"

Well as you say this was fun and a keeper. I viewed a portion of it with the sound muted, and it became a "silent movie" and had a different feel than the modern them which accompanied this piece.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”

sweet video! that looks like

sweet video! that looks like market street. I wish i would have been there to buy up all that property around san fran!

I'm not sure

But I think I saw a riderless horse gallop by.

Only on the DP would this be described as a "Delightful look at old San Francisco before traffic laws and regulations."

There are still some neighborhoods that don't appear to have changed in that regard.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/
