But . . .

We don't know what they promised HIM in return. :)

It's called politics, and it's the game used to enslave you

Please please please read 'The Anatomy of the State' by Murray Rothbard. It's available on Mises.org at the following link --> http://mises.org/easaran/chap3.asp

Or just keep believing that somehow, magically, some other person can represent your best interests at the same time as representing the best interests of everyone else that they are supposed to represent as well as their own.

Get a clue

I posted this because it was out of character for Dr. Paul and was hoping there were people here with more to the story than just "it's politics" "it's strategy" or other lame cliches, not to mention a moronic response by whomever this imbecile "none" is.

You

see that too?

If I disappear from a discussion please forgive me. My 24-7 business requires me to split mid-sentence to serve them. I am not ducking out, I will be back later to catch up.

Worthy of criticism ...

Having said that ...

Politically ....

How much damage has he done?

Who are those that dislike this endorsement going to vote for in RP's district?

I find it interesting that the Texas delegation has actively solicited RP's endorsement.

I wonder if they will recipricate?

The waters are only going to get murkier as we make more inroads. It is up to us to keep the message on track and constructively criticize when it is needed, even if it means throwing a little constructive criticism at RP.

I can say no more.

Fair questions

What I don't get is why he seems obligated to them after all the shit they throw at him with neocon opponents and after being proven right all these years and being gentleman enough to not rub their noses in it as they so richly deserve.

That's why I want to know the rest of the story, because there most certainly is one here, and Dr. Paul's actions don't make any sense.

my thread is about this very thing

Ron Paul is My President

Time for a third party.

Paul gets the message out. We now need more. Paul has not stopped the wars, Patriot Act,Bailouts etc. I will not support neo cons for Ron Paul and his secret political plan. This is BS and Celente had it right. There will be a new Party that sticks to it's principals and has a clear message of Liberty for all.

OUCH!

That hurts.

but the comments below are correct. Ron Paul must be strategic in his pursuit for what is right.

You can be cunning and strategic
or
obstinate and jobless.

I don't think he sacrificed his position.
Perhaps he got Lamar Smith to sign on to 1207 in exchange for his endorsement. Lamar Smith is not stupid either and he knows the RP Republicans could be a huge boost for him

Its called POLITICS!

Would you rather see Ron Paul as a talking head on the FOX News network?

Trust him.....He has a 30 year track record.

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

Actually Lamar Smith *is* stupid

One look at his neocon record shows it.

The bad part is that far too many people drink the GOP Kool-Aid and vote for him by label or other stupidity as well.

As I said above, what's the whole story, not some lame-ass excuse?

Yep

Strategy and numbers,One chip at a time.

It may be that Dr. Paul

Is a very smart man and in his goal to Liberty and Freedom the statue must be shaped one chip at a time.
and every little chip in the right direction means success for the ultimate goal.

It's called keeping his job

If the party turns on him, he's out. It's a sad reality. He has to do this to stay in office. It's politics, strange bedfellows--you know how it goes.

He basically said...

"I'm doing it because its what's required to be in the party." Which basically means he doesn't endorse him.

Never heard of the guy

Also, this definitely was not a very strong endorsement.

There's a limit to how much

There's a limit to how much independents can get away with. Interesting.
