I believe this man Sheriff Arpaio is doing his job properly by adhering to the laws of our land, and now he is being investigated by the freaking Obama administration, and homeland security for doing his job. It makes me sick. I would do anything to have this man come clean up California, especially Central California, we have so many illegals that come here and live off the government dole it is amazing. Please read this article on the illegals protesting, they should all be rounded up and sent back home as far as I am concerned:

Then they see all of the "illegals" getting all of the subsidies and it builds resentment and prejudice. This is what needs to stop but our government won't do it and we know why.

I know quite a few immigrants, they are not in favor of more immigration (legal or otherwise). It's about self-preservation. I got mine but I don't want others here to compete with me for wages, etc.

You are absolutely correct with your post. My problem with illegal immigration is that those that have chosen to to do the right thing, and go the legal immigration path have done so for nothing, if individuals can sneak their way in, to me it is no different than corrupt Congressman taking bribes from special interest groups, and that is wrong, and criminal in as far as I am concerned. My family immigrated to this country legally, and did what they had to do to become citizens, so by God, I do not see why others if they really want to be part of our Country, and be a citizen "Legally" can't do the same. Sneaking into this country is wrong, other countries, not even Mexico allow it, why should our country? The USA used to be a prosperous country, and now we teeter on the edge of 3rd world, and don't fool yourselve into believing that illegals don't have anything to do with that.
The economy should send most of them packing
We tolerate illegal/cheap labor when there are enough jobs to go around but the illegals are now finding that work is not so plentiful. Many are heading back to their respective mother lands. Good riddance.

Either direction but I would like to point out a few facts.If you take the Constitution for fact that it stands for the People,keep in mind that Arpaio keeps getting voted in by the people he represents.
Now if you take a few statistics it would make no sense for this to happen,In 07 the Hispanic population of Az was 30%(much more now) in Phoenix alone the population of Hispanics is 41%,in Gilbert it is 35%.
Now with these facts at hand, how does he keep getting reelected it makes no sense?Unless? It would seem that many that voted for him are Hispanic,and have chosen him to represent them.Please explain this? Because I cannot !

I hear people here...
complain about this law and that. People argue over what laws are unjust, and the general consensus is that all laws outside of the "natural law" are in some way at least flawed, and yet this is the one issue that I repeatedly hear, "It's bad because it's illegal.". Well, so I guess we should stop trying to fix all the other bad laws too then.
Illegal immigration laws are racist, period. And people who enforce them violently are committing atrocities against the human race and I feel no sympathy for them.

When a law is put into place which by "accident" is applied more to one race than another but which is obviously intended to do so, it is racist.
Many of the laws that make any form of immigration "illegal" are specifically and directly targeted at certain countries and nationalities. Which nationalities have been targeted will shift as things progress. But the targeting is always there no matter how sugar coated it is.
I doubt anyone here would argue that drug laws are fair, and not-racist. Even though the laws themselves never state a race, they are targeted at specific groups (difference between coke and crack penalties, for instance). However, everyone here ignores this when given the opportunity to dictate through law instead of the market, who may and may not live here.
