Is America Moving Right? By Patrick J. Buchanan

Whether or not Republican Scott Brown captures the Senate seat in Massachusetts today, his surging and successful campaign is a fire bell in the night for the Party of Government.

For Brown has run as an independent, an outsider, a protest candidate. His principal target: the health care reform bill that is the altarpiece of the Barack Obama presidency and lifetime achievement of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

For a full year, Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the leading acolytes of their party and media auxiliaries have been selling this plan as a historic Democratic reform to rival the Civil Rights Act and Social Security.

Yet in this Kennedy compound, the only state to be carried by George McGovern, people want to take this bill out to the crossroads at midnight and kill it. Brown made this race competitive by promising to bring the wooden stake to drive through its heart.

More hot air from Pat

That is the trade off one makes for nationwide coverage.

No Patrick...

America is dropping the "left / right" game altogether.

Call the Austin Tx city council and demand

They fire Austin Police Chief Arcevedo. He is a puppet for whatever the powers that be want from him. He helped BATF
shut down one of Austins oldest gun shows over the weekend.
He did this in violation of state law andknowing it was being done outside state law he should be fired. He should be brought before a magistrate and an accused of violating his oath and breaking state law. He is a disgrace and should be removed immediately.

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

Ron Paul mentioned

Mr. Buchanan mentions right at the end:

"Who in the Republican Party today is calling for a Barry Goldwater-like rollback of federal power and federal programs? Except Ron Paul."

Which is exactly why the Tea Party movement, true conservatives both Left and Right, Anti-War both Left and Right will continue to look to Rep. Paul for leadership.

The people are getting tired of the same rhetoric, get our guy (insert Republican or Democrat name) elected, and we will do what the people ask, only to find that they are there to line their pockets.

Well the lobbyists have pretty much bled us dry and the American people are sick of the constant lies.

Those salf same people are ignoring the mantra, "That you have to vote sometimes for the lesser of two evils". Well they are tired of it and are starting to fund republicans, democrats, libertarians and independents how aren't the establishment picks.

A new breed of statesman is being born and we have the politicians running scared.

Keep up the great work.

Poor Pat. Scott Brown isn't a

Poor Pat. Scott Brown isn't a small government type guy. He's a big government spending neo con like Bush ever was. So WHAT if he votes against healthcare if he then goes and votes to spend even MORE money on our foreign policy or to enrich criminals like Michael Chertoff and his body scanner company. Pat is such a hack. At least he finally has enough balls to stand up and say Ron Paul's name without denigrating him in some slight manner aka...he won't get the nomination.
