The REAL Message of the Brown Election
There is a lot of talk out there about how we sent a message to Washington yesterday by electing a Republican to a long-held Democratic seat in the Senate. I would like to point you to one such article because the author touched on something important but missed the significance.
A Warning To The Washington DC Establishment
Tonight Senator-Elect Brown made what, if Senator McCain has not woken up from his slumber, will prove to be a critical error. He said:
"I’ll never forget the help of another man who took the time to meet with me months ago – who told me I could win, and gave me confidence for the fight. It was all so characteristic of a truly great and heroic American, and tonight I thank my new colleague, Senator John McCain."
Really? Heroic eh?
So heroic that he turned a blind eye to the fraud that led us into this economic morass and not only refused to demand prosecution, clawbacks and justice during his campaign but has utterly refused to atone since?
Should Senator-elect Brown bring that attitude to Washington DC, unless Senator McCain has changed his tune (and I've yet to hear him sing differently) he will have made a critical error of judgment in regard to the message sent tonight.
What the author does not understand is that this wasn't a critical error. This was Brown simply revealing his true colors. He is part of the establishment, the new poster child for the Republican "revolution". This isn't an error because most voters won't even consider this statement or what it means.
And this is the problem: we did not send the message that we think we said. What did we say? That we have a price. At this point, that price is defeating the health care bill. We are willing to sacrifice our principles for the sake of possibly beating one bill.
Don't you understand? This is exactly how they got the House of Representatives to vote for the first TARP bill. They found their price: the Great Lakes Water bill. This caused many representatives (like Pete Hoekstra of Michigan) to sacrifice their principled opposition to TARP.
We told Washington that as long as they give us a big enough carrot, they can continue to keep their regime intact and promote their own establishment candidates.
What is worse is that we may very well have ushered in our next president. Don't believe me? Think about it. He is a young, handsome man with national recognition and the proven ability to generate nation-wide financial support. He has moderate-conservative views that are acceptable to most "conservative" voters. Combine him with Palin, and you might just have the star-power lineup the Republicans need to rejuvenate their base (while changing nothing in their agenda).
Is this our future: Brown/Palin 2012?
A sad day.

The REAL message...
The real message here that a lot seem to forget every now and then is that as we have said since day 1, there is absolutely no difference between the Republicans and Democrats. It is all a stage act! Both parties work for the interests of the same banks/corporations, do not defend the Constitution, and do not give a rats ass about the people. The only message that came out of this election was that we are right once again!

How did Joe do?
I was plugging for Joe Kennedy on Facebook. I did not see election results though.
In truth,

He's just one more Neo-Con in sheeps clothing.
The "victory" is a moot point. And the only people in this country who will benefit from his win is Brown's personal friends, his family and of course Brown himself. Oh, and I almost forgot, also the Illuminati and it's ten thousand or so minions.
Spot on, Khomar

You nailed it. Consider what he said of Ted Kennedy as well, "Senator Ted Kennedy was a tireless and big-hearted public servant, and for most of my lifetime was a force like no other in this state. His name will always command the affection and respect by the people of Massachusetts, and the same goes for his wife Vicki. There’s no replacing a man like that, but tonight I honor his memory, and I pledge my very best to be a worthy successor. " (emphasis mine)

Not quite fair to McCain.
To describe him as "turning a blind eye" to the fraud presupposes that he was able to understand what the banksters were doing. I saw nothing that he ever said that indicates any such understanding. At far as I can tell, he's never feigned his incompetence: he really is incompetent.

"The problem with trying to child-proof the world, is that it makes people neglect the far more important task of world-proofing the child." -- Hugh Daniel
That's true of a lot of Congresscritters.
But when one's incompetence supports mass murder by the military and mass robbery by all branches of government, it is an inadequate excuse. Btw, I do realize your comment was sarcasm :)
Not sarcasm.
I'm quite serious. I believe McCain is incompetent, rather than malicious.

What happened here yesterday
What happened here yesterday was a protest vote against a jobless recovery and political entitlement. Scott Brown is a powerless local state senator who has a pick-up truck, a nice smile and a down-home demeanor. Colleagues of mine doing some lobbying on Beacon Hill didn't even call him because of his irrelevance last year.
He wasn't the pick of the GOP, he was the only guy willing to file papers; no one wanted to run, blow their money against a seat a Kennedy has held since the 1950s. Just 30 days ago, he was 30 points down. Independents (65%) and Dems (20%) voted for him yesterday, but not because they fell in love with Scott Brown or his message, they are just angrier than they have ever been in the modern era. All Scott did was a good job of not scaring them away. He didn't put the word Republican on his web site, etc, or say it in his speeches. While his opponent wouldn't shake hands in the cold, Brown did it with pride, and put it in his commercials. Brown's one-liner about this being not a Kennedy or Democrat senate seat, but the people's seat, put him over the top. Coakley's one-liner about Curt Schilling being just another Yankee fan... few sentences could say "I'm out of touch" more than that.
Worried Brown co-opted the liberty movement? He didn't, it is small here (Joe Kennedy got what 20,000 votes out of 2 million?; that's about right). Worried he is the new face of the Tea Party? He might BECOME that, but that did not get him elected. When asked about the Tea Party movement, Brown said "What is that, what are they for?"
Conversely, Martha Coakley was anointed, she strolled to a primary victory and Joe Sixpack just did not want to hear her progressive rhetoric any more. People don't want to hear about saving the uninsured when their own coverage is in doubt. 'We' didn't do anything yesterday. The bluest state in America was pissed, and when they knew the country would be watching, they took an action no one would expect, so they could feel like they have some control over their world.
The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.
TEA parties supported Brown...
I know many TEA party folks in FL that sent money and made calls from HERE to support Brown....
It is a co-opting! Maybe there are only 20,000 actual members of the Libertarian party in MA.

That sounds right to me.
.
Brown was not aware of what the Tea-Party movement......
stands for? Obviously a man of principle, a man of the people. "If you vote for me, I'll give everyone a whole bunch of great stuff, I promise."
Same Logic Applies to Obama Win
The same logic applies to the Obama win. He must have seemed like the most outside outsider running (given the Ron Paul news blackout).
Voters are shallow.
Delegates, it's up to you! We need better candidates in all parties!
IMissLiberty
We must have Delegate Chairpersons.....
far and wide in all fifty states. Delegates too!
You're too kind...
Voters are shallow, just as much as they are ignorant and stupid and organized evil exploits these weaknesses.
It's the human condition and it's a damn shame.
We're not stupid.....
What does exploits mean?
Ha Ha Ha!
Thank you.
For I dearly love to laugh!
Its Not Just One Bill
The whole Obama agenda becomes more cumbersome to push off. Have you checked the contract for cap and trade lately?

Right off the cliff.
If not Brown today, where would we be in November? Fantasies aside, there was no real victory to be had yesterday. Just a temporary reprieve and most people outside of journalists know that (I hope)
Post of the day nominee.
Post of the day nominee. Thanks Khomar.
I'm afraid you are right
I'm afraid you are right Khomar. Every time I see Palin, I think about Naomi Wolfe describing a Palin presidency as the S&M Librarian Gone Wild.
Good heavens now we have Barbie AND Ken!!!
Freedom is not: doing everything you want to.
Freedom is: not having to do what you don't want to do.

Poeple will learn
when Brown's new colleague, Senator John McCain gets him to back the upcoming amnesty bill.
Let these fools show there hand. That's the only thing that will wake up some of these people. He will be worse than McCain. Look at his past record and you will see his future votes.
sad, very sad . . .
I have friends in Massachusetts and from Massachusetts who are rejoicing, and I want to weep--
Got lots of neoconservative friends; it's a lonely life.
it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
Cheer up
Neo-conservatism doesn't really exist in nature; it's a contrived religion.
Your friends may think they're neocons (or drink the neocon Kool-Aid), but when a real leader comes along, they'll stick to the message and the cause like white on rice.
The trick, is getting that message to them. The state-controlled media runs blocker for real reason, but that stranglehold diminishes every day.
The "message" of Tuesday's election is that people are starting to "get" the big picture. That should inspire us all.
Agreed
Brown is an establishment candidate and will not work for the people.
Focus on auditing the Fed ... everything else is a distraction.
good incite: palin is not one of us.
Americans latch onto glitzy hollywood-ish shells no matter the interior. obama the orator had them swooning with change and palin the beauty queen has them singing the songs of peace and prosperity. –no matter that she agreed with Bush on the tarp funds. –no matter that she says Georgia should be allowed in NATO and the U.S. should attack Russia if Russia attacks Georgia.
whichever way the wind blows them and whichever way the masses move is the path of the new American.
ron paul we need you.
No, we don't need Ron Paul.
No, we don't need Ron Paul. We need more people to embrace the principles that Ron Paul lives by. We shouldn't make the same mistake of looking to a personality to solve our problems. The solution starts with us.
you are right
you are right; there are just so few politicians who embrace those principles. I did have some hopes for Lou Dobbs, but was disappointed at his turnaround on immigration.
Good post, Khomar.
You could be onto something with that prediction.
