With Palin campaigning for

With Palin campaigning for McCain and Rick Perry, both progressives clearly opposed to freedom, I cannot trust her. The Tea Party movement does not need a leader. Multiple local leaders to keep things going is fine, but we sure don't need one individual trying to tell us what to think and to steer the herd in whatever direction he/she wants.

Pat

BOHICA!!

An excellent observation.

The "Tea Party" is truly searching for its identity.

Which is a shame since it was born out of the Ron Paul movement which knows exactly what its identity is.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

"The 'Tea Party' is truly searching for its identity."

Wrong Tea Party.

Palin is no outsider! Can

Palin is no outsider! Can you imagine John McInsane asking Ron Paul to run as his vice president? Of course not!

Palin is the Republican Establishment's "outsider", and the media is working overtime to ingratiate her with the Tea Party Movement.

Any "official" Tea Party Convention (Republican front) needs to be ignored by real Tea Party activists. The best strategy to undermine the attempt at subverting the Tea Party Movement is for us to go after establishment Republican icons. We need to acknowledge that they are our enemy, and we will not be subservient to them, and their NeoCon agenda.

This is what should have been done twenty some years ago to Newt Gingrich who destroyed the Republican uprising of that time. We don't want to see history repeat itself.

Remember that the current Republican leadership is no friend of Freedom. They have made the Republican Party the party of undeclared wars, larceny, and the destruction of the Bill of Rights.

The real Tea Party activists

pulled their convention sponsorship.

Appreciate Southern Avengers take on Palin.

All though I always appreciate the Southern Avengers take on many issues I must say that I would suggest proceeding with extreme caution supporting Sarah Palin.
She's a pleasant picture and supposed supporter of conservatism however she has many gaps to fill in her stance on many issues.
Palin getting the front page of Time is a warning in it self do to the fact that Bernanke and other establishment reps have gotten supposed electibility support for "whatever of the year".
Those of us who support ideas such as limited government, freedom, the revamping of our "Republic", etc. know that some of Palins close Mcfriends do not.
Thanks SA I always look forward to your views.

I would like to see Rand be the Tea Party leader

if it going to have one. Sarah Pallin is just a neo-con with no principles as SA points out.

I would like to see no one be the leader...

a few core philosophers and ideologues would be nice to steer the movement along, but really it would be nice if the whole organization stayed decentralized.

Do we want a leader?

If we don't have a leader it will keep the MSM confused, they won't know who to blame or take stabs at.

Great article from July

"The trouble with the establishment Republican party is that the wing of the party that Ron Paul represents is strong and getting stronger. It appeals actively to conservative Democrats and would actually be a fairly strong base around which to coalesce.

The problem, then, becomes how to take back control of the Republican party - an admittedly damaged brand - without granting Ron Paul the control that he and his supporters wish to take. The conclusion of the leadership wing of the Republican party is apparently that they need to launch new faces and rebrand the party. Sarah Palin fits both needs. She is a relatively fresh face on the Republican scene (a woman, too) - and just to make sure that the rebranding is complete, she is likely to help launch a new party."

"Obamney care," Nuff said.

It is not very difficult to

It is not very difficult to figure out what Palin stands for -- take a look at the folks she hangs with. Appearing on the cover of MSM magazines is a another clue.

Thanks, good one.

Always love to hear SA's take.
