Why doesn't Pat come out and openly support Dr. Ron Paul?

Pat told me he doesn't do endorsements anymore...

...but has nothing but good things to say about Ron.

..let it go. Pat is doing us a great service/

Protectionism?

Am I wrong about this? Wasn't Pat fairly protectionist for the "American worker" when he ran? My memory slips with age...

Perhaps someone can clarify Pat's trade ideas relative to Ron's allowing Americans trade with whomever they please.

Thanks!

Pat Buchanan will not

Pat Buchanan will not endorse Paul (he might drop hints, but an endorsement is unlikely.)

Two Reasons:
1.) He is a political any list and to endorse a candidate outright would ruin his credibility, and hurt any chance he has as being seen as completely unbiased and objective.

2.) His sister is running the Tancredo Campaign and he wont come out and endorse anyone else while his campaign is still kicking.

Extremism in the defense of Liberty is no vice.

Extremism in the defense of Liberty is no vice.

Because the time is not right.....He will

I'm beginning to believe totally that Dr. Paul has *many* friends who have thought about how important the timing is in gradually getting the "critical mass" stretchin' and yawnin' and lookin' around, i.e. wakin' up.

There is a financial crisis no longer impending...it is here. "The Powers That Be" can only hide the crisis for so long...... it will *hit* people and they, me included, will, then, want answers and....hope.

That's a good time for Pat!

Truth is marchin' on and,to me, it is fascinating to watch what a difference truth makes. Bring on the crisis....if that is the only way we can get to the restoration of liberty, the assurance of freedom, and hope for our future generations!!

Brother Buchanan's trade in punditry and authorship rests on his market's perception of his objectivity and impartiality. If he were to endorse anyone he would lose that cachet.

As much as I love and respect Pat (and hope that President Paul taps him for Secretary of State), I recognize that we are far better off with his endorsing Constitutional principles and leaving it as an exercise for advanced students to connect the dots.

I hope not.

Let him keep selling his books. He is obviously more devoted to self promotion than to his country. I have heard on Sean Hannity's radio program and they were much too chummy for me. I personally would not want to see him in Ron's administration.

This is a more than a presidential campaign, this is a movement

We need new blood. People devoted to their country and not to lining their pockets. Once Dr. Paul is elected, he will need people in government with his integrity and commitment if he is to carry out his plans. Electing him is only the beginning of this revolution. Old school professional politicians like Buchanan, no matter what their idealogy, must be replaced with passionate patriots, like the people we see in a lot of the videos. Many of them make a more profound impression on me than the Buchanans of the world. That is my humble opinion.

Mixed feelings about this one as Pat does have some philosophical similarities with Ron but he also has alot in common with Mike Huckabee, I say pass on this one.

It would be a blessing and a curse

It would be a blessing because those of us who have known Pat's been right for years to know he's on our side. It would be a curse because the Neo Con's think Pat's crazy, and this would just fuel their fires. Pat knows this. I think this is why you see him pushing for Ron Paul yet keeping his distance.

his career

he does as much as he thinks he can get away with and still keep his job as an "objective" political analyst.

he was on sean hannity the other day. i kept waiting for him to come out swinging for RP. he did plug him, but made sure to also say he liked tancredo, hunter and giuliani in some ways.
