does anyone know if any of them can be trusted to actually receive and
use the money wisely?

FYI~ He stated last week on a donation thread that these type posts do not belong on DP.

Personlly, I support giving to voluntary private charities for those that can and want to. It's hard to imagine maybe 200,000 dead from this horrific event.
