actually I also believe in
the husband and wife submitting to one another. And the link I put up is not really what my issue is with him. I just have been wondering why I've never seen his wife thats all. I mean she would be the first lady so It intrest me thats all. I will take down the link on my other post cause it was not really relavent but a digg on him. actually my biggest issue with him is how someone is called to preach and then gives it up in the middle of his life. It just seems like Its more than a job its a calling. Its just something that triggers my radar thats all.

Especially that fake Rev Huckabee, I don't get it, if you are called to preach the Gospel, why do you give it up and become a Governor, maybe because Huckabee was like many today, a fake Christian leading people astray.

(Sorry... that's a standard "insider-only" joke used frequently between pastors -- typically when they are gossiping about another "pastor" or "Christian" leader).
But I appreciate your point. When people tell me they like Huckabee "because he's a pastor" -- I simply respond and say, "well, no he's not. He stopped being a pastor 20 years ago when he decided to become a politician. A man is not a pastor any longer when he has left his flock."

Huckabee has been married to the same woman for over 30 years. That counts for something. And again, those of you who don't know squat about Christianity should hold off your opinions of the Biblical instructions to wives concerning honoring their husbands. There is no chauvinism here - my wife graciously honors me as the head of my house. That doesn't mean I'm her "boss." Look up Ephesians 5:21-30 - the Bible also says that husbands should love their wives "as Christ loved the church." It's a two-way street.
Please consider what you say before you post it. Huckabee is leaning immeasurably on the Christian conservative vote, and Dr. Paul needs those votes here. Some people visiting these pages will see a slam of Christian values, and go right back over to the Huckabee campaign.
I know whereof I speak - I came over from the Huckabee camp, and a large reason for that move was my wife and her support for Ron. Keep it mellow up here, and encourage the Christian community by showing that there is definitely a place for everyone up here.

This is what the Bible teaches, so I would not go there if your goal is to bring in the votes of evangelical Christians. Those who would like to blast the belief/command/whatever you want to call it never read far enough to get the big picture. Yes, wives are called to graciously submit, but have you read what the Bible says the behavior of husbands ought to be? The wives have it quite easy in comparison. When men behave like the husbands the Bible calls them to be, submitting to that man is a position of joy and honor. For the sake of Huckabee's wife, I hope he is that man he claims to be. However, his position on the issue neither qualifies nor disqualifies him for the presidency.
