A Shaman's ManeuverSubmitted by 2102ratsgoD on Sat, 01/23/2010 - 07:08
Shamans keep nothing to themselves. To empty themselves in this fashion is a shaman's maneuver. It leads them to abandon the fortress of the self. When one has nothing to lose, one becomes courageous. We are timid only when there is something we can still cling to.
Shamanism pertains to a live world. A live world is in constant flux. It moves; it changes; it reverses itself. I fear nothing, so I will remember myself. The power of warrior-travelers is to be alert, to get maximum effect from minimal impulse. And above all, their power lies in not interfering. Events have a force, a gravity of their own, and travelers are just travelers. The moment one begins dreaming-awake, a world of enticing, unexplored possibilities opens up. A world where the ultimate audacity becomes a reality... That's the time when man's definitive adventure begins. The world becomes limitless with possibilities and wonder.
