The list includes the usual suspects, but Ron Paul is also included in this MSM piece.

2012 Election: Twelve GOP Candidates Who Might Challenge Obama
The Pros and Cons of a Dozen Republicans Who Might Run for President in the Next Election
By TEDDY DAVIS
Jan. 25, 2010

The 2012 presidential election is years away, but there is already a growing crop of Republicans who are toying with the idea of seeking the GOP's presidential nomination.

The first test will come April 8-11 when the Southern Republican Leadership Conference will hold a widely attended cattle call in New Orleans, which several potential GOP presidential candidates are expected to attend.

ABC News spoke with strategists, Republican Party officials and conservative leaders to narrow down the list of GOP candidates who seem the most committed to taking back the White House.

Here's a look at a dozen Republicans whose names have emerged as possible contenders to take on President Obama in 2012. In the end, not all of these Republicans will run. But as of today, they seem like the 12 best bets to get into the race.

Anybody else notice...

that on all the others they had "cons" that involved STUPID and controversial things that they had DONE. Whereas on Dr. Paul all they could come up with is his AGE?

That's what good clean living will do for you! No negatives other than birth date!

ABC did not want him to be on that list.

That was a sad display of disinformation. Not surprising of course, the Media will slowly use RP to gain a footing for the Republican party until they reverse the trend a year from the election and slowly phase him out like last time.

But this time he will start a revolution

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

Usually

there are plenty of comments supporting Dr. Paul under the article. Kind of odd that there are hardly any.

I thought the same thing.

A very bland write up, like they included him as an afterthought.

I would like to see him as the Secretary of the Treasury. I think that he would a great Treas. Sec. He would comb through the books thereby indirectly auditing the Fed in at least their dealings with the America. There should enough corruption there alone to end the Fed.

I hope that the-powers-that-be will have to look to Ron Paul to salvage any remaining credibility. That will be the way to get into the backrooms of these secret financial societies and expose them.

nice write-up for paul

nice write-up for paul

It certainly would keep

It certainly would keep things more interesting if he ran again, but I'd much rather have Ron appointed to head the Federal Reserve and make it the capper on his career to put himself out of a job.

cool... though

they stuck he way at the end... but still better than nothing!

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

Or you could look at it like this...

They saved the best for (almost) last!

Good to see him included

though he should've been nearer to the top. You know immediately if he runs he'll have about a $10 million warchest within the first week.

Gary Johnson too.

.

echo echo

My hope is that Johnson and Paul both put together strong support systems, both run, and that one bow out early enough to endorse the other. What I know of both suggests that their love of freedom is greater than any pathetic need for personal aggrandizement.

They are both decent, smart, committed, and in good shape -- physically and mentally.

Ideally we will be voting for a Paul/Johnson ticket in 2012 and a Johnson-on-top ticket in 2020.

This is a great idea.

Who ever gets the nod could appoint the other as VP, or could appoint the other to a cabinet seat.
