Democrat plan: Split GOP, Tea Party
Submitted by bobbyw24 on Tue, 01/26/2010 - 18:00Democrats are looking for someone to blame for their electoral woes — and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Robert Menendez is working hard to make sure it’s not him.
Showing that they’ve learned the lesson of Massachusetts, Menendez and his staff will distribute a memo Tuesday advising Democratic campaign managers to frame their opponents early — and to drive a wedge between moderate voters and tea-party-style conservatives.
“Given the pressure Republican candidates feel from the extreme right in their party, there is a critical — yet time-sensitive — opportunity for Democratic candidates,” the DSCC writes. “We have a finite window when Republicans candidates will feel susceptible to the extremists in their party. Given the urgent nature of this dynamic, we suggest an aggressive effort to get your opponents on the record.”
The memo urges Democratic candidates to force their opponents to answer a series of questions on health care, taxes and some of the favorite causes of the far right:
“Do you believe that Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen? Do you think the 10th Amendment bars Congress from issuing regulations like minimum health care coverage standards? Do you think programs like Social Security and Medicare represent socialism and should never have been created in the first place? Do you think President Obama is a socialist? Do you think America should return to a gold standard?”

I had thought of this too..
but then the MASS election for Kennedy's Senate seat and the election of Brown, along with the Tea Party (at least one faction) adopting the likes of Michele Malkin, tells me when push comes to shove, they'll all vote for war mongering Republican (the lesser of two evils in their view).
The Tea Party may stand for certain things, but they won't vote democrat and don't know enough to vote Constitution or Libertarian. So the way, IMHO, is to convert folks one at a time to our way of thinking just like Schiff, Rand, Harris, Dennis, Towne, Medina, Vasovski and all the others we find who adhere to Ron Paul's message of Liberty are doing. People just need direction through a good conversation, not a rant (that some of us are guilty of - or pushed to).
Personally I'm working on converting more than one at a time. Each of us needs to do something and the timing couldn't be better!

on the list of questions he
on the list of questions he wants democrats to ask their contenders:
"Do you think the 10th Amendment bars Congress from issuing regulations like minimum health care coverage standards?"
Strategy: Preempt being asked this by asking the democrats why they think the 10th amendment doesn't bar congress from doing so. Its so obvious in the direct language of the 10th amendment that they are in the wrong here... And they know this, so they have no response.
This is going to backfire on this clown SO HILARIOUSLY. I have a bad feeling that in 2010 a bunch of neocons are going to win and i am going to hate all of them just as much as the current representatives, but it will still be fun to watch this ridiculous excuse of an ideology crash and burn.
The Gung-ho GOP and Dems are dying out,
The generations aren't concerned about parties, it about getting things done. IMO
this is actually really good
this is actually really good for us. It means that the GOP will be held accountable. Maybe the GOP can do the same thing to the Dems.

its all falling apart now. There is no way that these tricks will work.Dangerous times for these democrats.they can't get the american people to fall for their pea-brain schemes so they decide to drive a wedge through the republicans.Won't work. These pseudo tea parties(for profit) are not working either. Congrats folks we are winning and its been a pleasure to be part of the liberty movement.Keep up the good work. Jail geither
Actually, I like what they
Actually,
I like what they are doing. Their ads will only serve to motivate the ones that haven't come back to their roots (teaparty).
they might have a chance because of this. But our movement will only grow. More light, more growth...
