Updated Jan 28: Alex Jones crashes protest in Austin TX. Makes remarks to Catherine Bleish and others

0 votes

Bill Cooper was right about A.J, What is the best way to control the opposition? To be a leader of it.

Alex Jones oversteps the line here. A group of people including www.libertyrestorationproject.org organized an event to protest and defend their 2nd ammendment rights and A.J decides to speak over them and even calls some of them nasty names. Keep in mind that these people reached out to A.J and asked him if he would be a speaker at the event and he told them NO! He then decides to attempt to take over the event. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_X-CVR5L14

Updated : New Video : This video thread has been deleted twice and I don't know why, this video shows where A.J yells in the face of an organizer of this event to "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY FACE" here is the video that keeps getting deleted : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdJ4zhiB2s4

Here A J claims Catherine has a hard on for him, as she tries to talk with him all he does is try to belittle her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWM17wiHhww

Updated : This comes from one of the people at the protest : Originally Posted by pfarley

Organizers were extremely deliberate in aiming to focus the message on points relevant to firearm rights and the issue at hand. The organizing groups have worked very hard to establish good media relationships and they had blasted out to numerous media outlets some precise talking points in a well-crafted press release. The media vans were positioned across the street from the police station by 3:30 when I arrived - multiple media trucks had their booms up ready to run live broadcasts on the 5pm news.

Now let me tell you what I observed about Alex.

Alex swaggered up to the protest area with an entourage of 8 or 9 people (mostly his videographers) at just a couple of minutes past 5 o'clock. The first thing I noticed was that it looked like he was wearing makeup... so I thought 'Oh, I guess Alex is here to get some footage for an upcoming NWO film'. But then it became apparent to me he was there to do more than that...

He looked directly at the *legitimate* rally organizer already speaking on the police department steps. He positioned himself directly in front of the ongoing rally (between the rally and the media trucks) and began bullhorning *extremely* loudly about how the "Media are LIARS!! Mainstream media is nothing but BS!!" Yadda yadda. Now, you'd think Alex - with all his years of experience - would realize the effect this would have. It, of course, resulted in cancellation of all the LIVE broadcasts. They couldn't air live. Period. If he had actually been yelling about gun control issues, maybe they could have.

Alex could have chosen to jump right into the 2nd amendment issues, if his agenda was to bring attention to the problem of gun control. But he didn't. That stuff became mixed in here and there later.

For two hours, Alex stayed on a maniacal trajectory insulting numerous people at the event - including his fans, including Catherine Bleish, and including the director of the Texas Libertarian Party. He was a grotesque caricature of himself, IMO.

Mostly I was heartbroken that he would trash the hard work of the organizers by neutralizing the press coverage they had at-the-ready.

And then there's the fact that Alex over-spoke an excellent lineup of planned speakers. In the lineup were two local attorneys who have been examining the specifics of the gun show shutdown case that prompted the rally, Catherine Bleish (Liberty Restoration Project), Robert Butler (Director of the LP Texas), and Darwin Boedecker (the owner of the gun store that was shut down).

Organizers tried to work with Jones, first by offering him his choice of speaking positions in the lineup -- then, when Alex declined their speaking invitation, by moving their rally (again, already in progress) about 20 feet away to another corner of the pavilion in front of the PD building. Guess what Jones did. Yep, went up the steps so he could bullhorn within 20 feet of them again.

The whole scene involving AJ was reprehensible.

Stop posting this!

This event was thrown together at the last minute! Noone cares if he said something mean! Most of the dailypaul people support free speech. Quit wasting our time.

a bump more or less , lol...

I think most people are missing the point of this entire post.. If it is true that this event was planned for and organized legitimatly and it is also true that a.j. was invited to speak but refuse then this is not a question of 'do you support free speech'. It is about being respectful and helping people who supposedly agree with you on the 2nd ammendment. This is not about a.j. v.s. anybody personally. This, on an philosophical level, is about a.j. being either

a. against the 2nd amendment as these people view it
b. alex just wants the spotlight
c. these people staged an event and a.j. decided for whatever grudge he had to shout them out.

I'm not saying he doesnt have the right to shout them out.
What I AM saying is when somebody does something (actions) it can speak MUCH louder than words... If the whole thing is a miss-understanding so be it. However the videos I have seen make it reasonably clear what was going on what with the woman trying to tell a.j. that nobody could hear the speaker and him continuing on..

He had the right to say whatever he wanted!!
But by opting to use his 1st amendment rights at that time definitely paints a picture about alex one way or another..

It could be that he is just very egocentric and attention starved or he, for whatever reason, feels like he has to attack people who are on his side ideologically/philosophically... or these people pissed him off somehow but to interrupt everyone at the event out of spite definitely tells you something about the way he operates..
If he disagreed with the message they were sending then he could explain why.. If he supports their message why shout ALL of the speakers down/drown them out???...

BTW people! Let this be a lesson to you! A P.A. System is a much better bet than a weak-@$Z bullhorn.. Hell, if u give me your credentials/legitimate event info etc. Ill ship mine to u 4 free to borrow for liberty oriented events.... :P Another upside is you get better clarity and you don't risk giving off that vibe that certain people get from being directly blared @.. if that makes sense ....

Any-who that is my 2 cents... And I'm kind of sleepy mind you's.. just finished a 12 hour shift.. lol...

just once i will comment

cuz this thread is old but really why are people defending
the loudmouth alex jones.

c bleish is loud mouth, immature activist.

instead of giving a jones crap she and hers should have joined forces and made the rally known.

this was about catherine and how she wanted it done.

it turned out to be a complete waste of time and i don't think accomplished much when it could have.

Agreed never quit

Alex Jones had the owner on several times. Criminal complaints and lawsuits should have followed the illegal excursion by the Austin police and the BATFE. They should have been done that day.

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

has anyone stopped to think that perhaps

catherine has an agenda of her own and also her co-host
on her radio show, john bush.

i find her immature. and that's what comes across to me in the video. she acts like it is HER movement and a jones must do it her way.

fyi, she and john bush subscribe to saul alinsky's "rules for radicals".

Ron Paul is My President

Rules for Radicals is great.

If they are just standing around giving speeches they need to re-read it. Have you read it??

Lawson...

They aren't "just giving speeches." Indeed, I will solemnly swear they are up to no good...

I've read Alinsky, but also a bit of Gandhi for good measure. Both brilliant activists, both successful in their way. I prefer attending to the purity of means when it is uncertain that the ends can be achieved at all...

no.

i have not. but the reason i wrote what i did is because of the research that i have done.

i first became aware of him when obama came on the scene.
he is one of o's mentors and also bill and hillary.
so that's why i checked him out.

everything i have seen points to him as having marxist philosophies, and to encourage the young to ignore the elders and that the end does indeed justify the means.

here's a page i was just reading lately: http://www.crossroad.to/Quotes/communism/alinsky.htm

I researched to write this unanswered post

And sadly, I will demonstrate how it will go unanswered here also.

I'm not saying some of these AJ exorcists won't try to chant their rote phrases at me for doubting their discernment, but that's not the same as an on-point answer.

Taken from yet another ragged rant from neverquit, I offer the best summary of events that I can support with audio links:

Jones gave exclusive time to this constitutional breach for days
Submitted by Promisekept on Thu, 01/28/2010 - 18:54.

The gun show owner was reaching out for public support immediately after the event, when Alex Jones got the scoop on this ONLY because the owner called him first at the recommendation of what he described as, "a lot of people". They suggested Jones' radio show as THE next place to go to for truly constitutional-sound coverage of this.

From what I heard, Darwin Boedecker got what he came for. He's been on a total of three times now, including today.

He announced on his radio show early on that he would be there, in his own backyard, with no pretense; as anyone who knows Jones knows, that he would not be anywhere else than there if he could help it.

He also declared that he would do so without seeking a permit, (GASP!), because, "you shouldn't have to waive your first amendment right, by seeking their permission, to protest their second amendment violation", (my summary paraphrase).

From what I can surmise so far, the people being referred to as, "the organizers" offended by AJ, are probably/possibly majority out-of-town folks who sought their "proper papers", or in some other way were preferred, by this thread-writer as the definers of proper protocol.

Alex has made no direct accusations against anyone present ,and, as far as I've heard, made no apologizes to anyone with whom he may have differed with there.

Oh BTW, did you catch the Debra Medina pre- and post-debate interviews on Alexs' show?

I posted a thread that has all the links at:

AJ...

Alex Jones, in my opinion, has always been a little bit psychotic. I'd liken him to a Michael Moore type of guy. If the pieces of a puzzle don't fit either ignore them or make some up. My two main problems with him are that he's very self-serving and links issues that should not be linked. It discredits everything we try to do. It's like keeping marijuana illegal and lumping them in with cocaine and heroin. This makes people treat them the same way. You can't talk about inflation and HR1207 and in the next sentence state with the same certainty that there is a global conspiracy of dentists, doctors, and engineers to lower peoples IQ with flouride. He said this in a video posted here (ON THE FRONT PAGE) in which his floating head "educates" people with a sentence or two on each topic as a swirly hypnotic background sits behind him. What message does that send to somebody just checking out our website? If I've just spent 45 minutes debating a Republicrat on our issues and they came here to check it out AJ just destroyed everything I've done! I've always seperated myself from him when talking with others about liberty issues. Could the flouride thing be true? Possibly, I definitely can't say for certain but the point is neither can he. I think we can definitely see the difference between flouride issues and HR1207. You have to use your intelligence which Alex Jones rarely does in these kinds of situations.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

When my city wanted to fluoridate, I researched it much more

What I found caused me to spend more time and money than I wanted to spend, getting involved by addressing my researched concerns to the city counsel, news media, door to door, and market place petitioning against medicating the public water supply with a well-known toxic heavy-metal.

Fluoride is found on the periodic table between lead and arsenic, and yet accountability for government-prescribed safe percentage-levels is nowhere to be found.

Also nowhere to be found is the governments' presumed power to mass-medicate. Fluoride and other heavy-metal toxins, that they are not required to disclose, are being added to the public water, not to purify it of water-borne contaminants, but to offer an unscientifically-supported medical benefit.

Now its your turn to "use your intelligence", and tell us why the cumulative damage being done everyday, against every living thing that draws a drink of this government-prescribed heavy-metal brew (they still call water), should be unworthy to be discussed and exposed here?

Something's wrong with Alex

I'm thinking maybe the necktie was cutting off circulation to his brain or maybe he got in contact w/ red kryptonite or had a couple of martinis before he got out there.

The guy's got a lot of good info on his radio show, but he's also just a little bit psycho and tends to attract other oddballs.

I don't plan on becoming an Alex or Rush or Glenn dittohead, but all of them can come out with some pretty good info at times that I can agree with--some more often than not.

I hope that it wasn't alcohol doing the talking...

or something else.

What?

Glenn Beck... really?

I met him at a remote when he was local here in Tampa... the guy is a sleaze. I don't get why people compare Alex Jones to hosts like Limbaugh or Beck. That's like comparing Bill Cooper to Alex Jones...

I'm still on AJ's side on this one

I think he understands the situation far better than any of the people standing there listening to story hour. I'm not sure what else I can say, it just seems like if you're mad about something standing around telling each other why is kinda stupid. At least Alex knows what he's mad about and who he's mad at (including stupid sheeple).

I don't blame AJ

I am no Alex Jones fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I see nothing wrong with the way he conducted himself, this was a protest after all. If I was approached the way she approached him, I would have suspected her a provocateur.

I doubt she will be in any more of his movies.

I doubt she will be in any more of his movies.

Ohh noes..AJ is not polite...

Whatever..I don´t care, cause it is not important..

He has done more, than anyone else anyway...

No one is perfect..what the heck do people expect...

Is he some kind of god ?

LOL.. ya it´s funny...to even make a post about it and try to smear a great man...

Now go do something that matters...

Constitutional hypocrites

We are here to exercise our right to assemble. We are here to exercise our right of free speech and talk about our right to bear arms.

Don't anyone dare trample these rights!

Wait a minute, who is that guy assembling there by the street? He's using a bull horn and speaking out about something.

SHUT HIM UP! MAKE HIM LEAVE! WE WERE EXERCISING OUR RIGHTS FIRST!

I said it once..

and I'll say it again!

Alex Jones is a NUT! Somebody should've kicked him square in the nuts too LOL

Sigh* I really hope people wake up to his shinanigans. Whatever he his. he is NOT cool!

And those who follow him like he is a God! Shame on u! Where is your common sense?????

Debra Medina will be on camera with AJ for the last 30 mins.

No one in Texas has a greater potential to carry the Liberty message to the governorship of Texas than Debra Medina. Her campaign for governor has taken a meteoric rise in the brief exposure a recent televised debate gave her against Rick Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

Now for her first time in-studio, on-camera interview, Debra Medina will be given freedom to cover whatever she wants to, without corporate filters.

Broadcasting from his Austin studio, Alex Jones will help make this radio/video interview a viral internet event.

I believe a Medina win would have a much greater impact on the entrenched neo-con nation-wide agenda, than Browns recent win in Massachusetts had on the Dims.

Love him or hate him, AJ is in the catbird seat on this one. Lets hope the energetic activism his audience gave to Ron Paul campaigns in the past will rally to help put Medina over the top in a big way.

Alex Jones is the biggest blow-hard I have ever heard

and his sheeple are even worse. Only fools follow a fool.

Neverquit

Really? What's his agenda

and what's wrong with him revealing it?
