Please Suggest What the MSM Should Call Ron Paul Supporters?

Daily Paul Liberty Forum

In another topic, a number of posters complained bitterly that the MSM used the term "Paulhead" to refer to supporters of Ron Paul. Other posters noted that the term denoted little, offered no rhyme or allteration, or could be construed as dismissive.

What if an easy handle for Ron Paul supporters would help MSM cover us more often and more fairly? Wouldn't it be better if we supplied a catchname, rather than the reporter-de-jour, or our opposition?

One poster's suggestion that they "just (call us) supporters of Presidential Candidate Ron PAul" is unaware of the MSM's acute need to be cute and succinct on the mainstream entertainment airwaves.

So can we help our friends in the MSM?

What would be a good, catchy, succinct, and empowering catchphrase for Ron Paul supporters?

The name you suggest should be something that the MSM would use because it:
- is short
- clearly identifies that the person supports Ron Paul
- is cute to say (preferably causes reporters' button noses to wrinkle and a wry smile to appear)

And it should be something that supports our man, Ron Paul, in that it:
- is respectful
- conveys an essential message of his campaign
- disabuses that we are from some lunatic fringe

So, what are your suggestions?

Accurate, but wrong part of speech. Doesn't differentiate a Ron Paul Supporter from other supporters with axes to grind.

And misses the optimistic note of freedom.

I have been thinking about the We-the-People idea.... If we called ourselves "WePaulPeople",
- there is a play on Wee People, as in just the common folk,
- there is the play on We The People -- founding principles.
- It clearly differentiates us as as Ron Paul Supporters.
- It has cadence and some alliteration

It's hard to say, though. And it sounds like Weevil People.

Darn it.. thought we might have something....

we were going something more in tune with the movement and less with the movee, more about the message and less about the messenger?

Anyhow, great thread, I have enjoyed it and it is good to do something fun once in a while, makes the work of making a President a little easier, don't ya think?

The media will use whatever name suits them; not suggestions from a bunch of well-meaning unknowns.

Ron Paul Supporters seems best. That is what we are. I have seen Paulites often too.

Thing to do is to contact the writers individually, and not the organization in general, if you go forward.

I think, however, this is wheel-spinning. The main thing to focus on is getting RP elected. After that it won't matter what we are called.

Yes, and if we get a dismissive, cutsie name, it undermines that effort, and if we can implant an empowering, cute name, it might help us.

I know you don't think this can help. Yet it speaks to the core of what MSM reporters want to get out of their stories -- entertainment!

I think it is best to stay away from terms like revolution, minutemen, patriot, etc. that can be marginalized as a fringe and radical.

I do like Paulinator since it is disarming, a funny play on the Govenator/Terminator, and has meaning in reference to pollination. Plus it is Eco friendly and should get everyone’s approval because it won’t increase Global Warming. Be a Paulinator and join the Paulination. Live free and flourish. Become one of Ron Paul’s “Busy Bees”.
