That's the question the Dems are purportedly using in a memo to Senate campaign offices.

Politico reported Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee chief Robert Menendez is distributing a memo to U.S. Senate campaign offices stating Democrats need to demand that their opponents answer a series of questions, including, "Do you believe that Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen?"
The report said Menendez wants to use the questions to "frame" opponents and "drive a wedge" between moderates belonging to the GOP and those who have adopted the tea party standards advocating limited government, lower taxes, fewer regulations and more freedom for Americans.

If he is a natural born citizen, why has he paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to conceal his birth certificate?
I don't know where he was born, but he is obviously hiding something. Possibly, obtaining financial assistance as a foreign student under the name of Barry Soetoro. This would make him guilty of fraud, if he is in fact a natural born American citizen.
If he is what he says he is, it's a simple matter to produce his original birth certificate.

I'm with others here I think.
I do think he's a "citizen". Naturalized or Dual, but not Natural Born and therefore not eligable for office of President.
Main thing is because I understand he went to school in a place where he could not go to school if he were a US citizen. I haven't seen anyone deny it, so there we go. 2+2
But then there's the unanswered questions about the Certificate of Live Birth and Kenyan or British citizenship, etc... too.

I agree with with what you say. If his birth certificate shows he was born in Hawaii, he is a citizen, but his refusal to supply the original birth certificate raises a serious question about his citizenship.
But clearly he is not a natural born citizen because his father was not a US citizen at the time of little Barry's birth which automatically means that he is not a natural born citizen.

Of COURSE Obama is a US citizen. The question is, will the Supreme Court ever adequately define the terms for qualifying as a "natural born citizen"? Only a natural born citizen can be President, and in the past it was implicitly understood that in order to qualify as "natural born," both of the citizen's parents had to be US citizens. This is what caused Chester Authur to burn his personal documents in an attempt to disguise the fact that his father was a British citizen.
The Supreme Court has yet to define this term, "natural born citizen," absolutely. It can go either way for Obama.

"Do you believe that BHO, is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN, and therefore eligible to be POTUS?"
This "citizen" question is VERY deceptive, and it a very thin thread. A little education about the difference could really go a long way.
A possible response to the US Citizen question: "Sure i do". "What I have a issue with is whether or not he is a Natural Born Citizen, which is NOT the same as US Citizen, and is required to be POTUS."

he's a legal united states citizen. He's spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to hide the truth. All he had/has to do is open ALL his records. Long form birth certificate as well as his school records. One has to wonder what he's hiding if in fact he's really a citizen of the united states.
