Its kind of creepy when Ron Paul and the CFR agree.

I was just looking through the last edition of the publishing arm of the Council of Foreign Relations, FOREIGN AFFAIRS MAGAZINE and the cover article THE NEXT FINANCIAL CHALLENGE Why Washington must reduce deficits, balance the budget, and embrace a declining dollar - or face another crisis.

I think all of you bickering about Alex Jones being a fraud - or in my opinion, a useful toolbag like Glenn Beck - and Congress establishing Mortgage fixes should read this article and just get whopped in the face with some serious reality in cold hard numbers.
WE ARE SCREWED.

Ron Paul was the only candidate who attempted to convey this information (and he still is)...but of course his demon child, C$L, has everyone in a bunch because they are attempting to play politics with the big boys- which for goodness sake was what is was all about in the first place, although it does suck when you realize you've been used if you did give any sort of money not to mention sweat equity to an organization promising to restore sanity.

Here is a snip from page 30 of Volume 88 No 6:

Even if such favorable returns persist, Cline's projections show the level of US debt will climb from under $5 Trillion now to more than $50 Trillion, and the annual cost of servicing that debt will soar to $2.5 Trillion. By 2030, the United States will be transferring seven percent of its entire annual output to to the rest of the world. In order to pay for its previous profligacy, the United States will have to forgo $2.5 Trillion - equal to the nation's current total annual spending on health care - of domestic consumption, investment, and government expenditures each year. At a minimum, this will lead to a long-term erosion of living standards in the United States.

These projections suggest that the United States' annual current account deficit will thus climb to almost $6 Trillion by 2030, more than seven times its previous high. Such a sum would account for more than 15 percent of GDP, or two and a half the peak rate of 2006, and would be at least triple the accepted international norm for sustainable current account deficits, which is four or, at most ,five percent GDP.

Under this scenario, the net international investment position or net foreign debt, of the United States would exceed $50 Trillion of 140 percent of the GDP - more than triple the accepted international norm of about 40 percent.

Now of course Ron Paul and the author of this piece, C.Fred Bergsten, disagree on the solution. Ron Paul = a drastically reduced government and a return to Constitutional Money. Bergsten = a basket of international currencies scenario and embracing the declining hegemony of the dollar within an intertwined world economy.

NOW if we could all just FOCUS! These are the facts we have to deal with. Petty squabbles (of which I include the greater part of the political circus)are NOT going to save us. We have to think fast as to how to INFORM people about what is going on as I type and my children sleep.

If everyone - no matter what party or organization(TeaParty, C$L, Oathkeepers, Republican, Democrat,Greens,whatever!) - just started to think about these few PARAGRAPHS I just posted, digested them and took it upon themselves to explain this to their neighbors and associates regardless of political affiliation (don't even go there with the blame game); then I think there would be much more political hemorrhaging. And that velvet revolution that everyone is hoping for would be under way already.

All this chatter about various organizations and personalities is as productive as a bachelorette party.
