Freedom is: not having to do what you don't want to do.

always liked

Cat Stevens "Peace Train" but recently had "Turn On Your Receiver" by Nazareth stuck in my head so I co-opted it for the revolution. Check it out.

Dudes, capitalism ain't the way either - look at the results!?! The poor getting poorer, elimination of the middle class, and rich getting richer (of course, as always, at everyone's expense). Capitalism leads to elitist greed (what you are witnessing now is NOT just capitalism goes awry (bail-outs etc.)), IT IS capitalism playing itself out, naturally). Socialism leads to unified poverty (USSR). Communism leads to social breakdown (Haiti etc.). On and on, utopian schemes all of them! Men (humans) are apparently incapable, even at their best, to construct or uphold liberty, freedom, or personal rights. It is always admirably perfect idioms (forefathers included) that inevitably wind up in utter chaos. Don't believe me, watch the upheaval that is about to go global over the next few years. Governments will be overturned everywhere. Why? Because man cannot, even under the best of circumstances, rule himself - it is not if, but when the SHTF. So I really believe it is time for us all to seek the Higher Power (the perfect one), whether or not you believe in one. Jesus 2012 has my vote!!! (Caveat: I am not religious (I despise religion, actually), I just believe there is a better way than you and your infantile and time proven failing ideals!)

An odd selection

I have been playing a hole in my Van Morrison CD, "What's Wrong With This Picture?" There are a couple of songs on there that have interesting lyrics. "Too Many Myths" is my current favorite.
Although I really got a kick out of "I Like Guns." And I don't like country music... lol!

I'm going to stick with Hope Anthem by Marc Sibilia. Not necessarily "liberty" themed, but extremely nostalgic for me from the campaign.
