Question on Tea Party Meetings?

I understand that Sarah Palin is to speak at the Tea Party Meeting.........My question, is Sarah Palin a true representive of Ron Paul Republicans, or are we losing the true meaning of the revolution?

I think Sarah Palin is ok, but do not feel she is representive of how I feel so I would not vote for her.

No, she is not.

The GOP is involved with tea parties.

We just had a Tea Party Coalition meeting in Buffalo, NY. This is great news because we have almost every local group working together now as a unit. Were using common ground. Buffalo, is a big town. This coalition is about 60% to 40% in favor of "unknowledgable" GOP. This is our "compromise".

This way we are forming alliances, getting real knowledge out there, and we're in the media.

The GOP still runs things to a point. Their a huge machine. Were biting pieces of it off but it will take some time. The thing is not to run from them.

Be Not Afraid

Tea Party education program. That's great news.!

"This way we are forming alliances, getting real knowledge out there, and we're in the media."

At our state convention I distributed several 5x6 photos of Ronald Reagan with Dr. Paul.

The title read: REAL CONSERVATIVES

The caption read: Prescription for Properity: Ron Paul

GOP leadership is 50 to 70 years old. Thirty years ago they were stumping for Ronald Reagan. But his message of small government was dangerous to the neo-conservatives that wanted to feed at a large government trough. His message was lost but they kept his image.

The Tea Parties that can reconnect the man to his message will find the greatest successes. That is what worries the spin doctors most, IMO.

Palin is speaking for a private "for profit" event

The convention is being held at a fancy resort, features $550 ticket prices, a steak and lobster dinner and a guest speaker with a $100,000 speaking fee. It’s sponsored by a for-profit company with a mysterious wealthy benefactor, and its organizers, who have been accused of secrecy and corruption, have threatened lawsuits against dissenters and clamped down on news coverage.

And they say they can't give the tickets away

Nobody's actually interested in her.

You carry the R3volution with you! Its not at a Tea Party.

You are free to listen then work to understand what you think. Be wary of binary thinking: good or bad, us versus them and so on (that fruit is poisonous).

The Tea Party is what you make of it. If you go, make your stand or ask questions.

What is the history of the Tea Parties? The very first one involved private property damage as crates of tea was actually thrown into Boston Harbor. What effective action can we use?

Ronald Reagan said, "Government is the problem!" Many in today's tea parties remember his words. Too many did not see that he was unable to "Get government off our backs" as he wished.

They will remember that he was the Teflon President and the Great communicator. A Teflon man is any man or women that dares to be free or just refuses enslavement. They'll stick with the truth but dirt won't stick to them.

In the scheme of government the President is akin to the Sheriff. In many ways Reagan was a good Sherriff. In many ways he was just a man.

Dr. Paul considered Ronald Reagan a friend and they supported each other’s election. Dr Paul is still as concerned about government invading our lives as Reagan was thirty short years ago.

Many historians, philosophers and economists did anticipate the current economic disaster. They have pinpointed government actions that always lead us to these troubles. Reagan was right, “Government is the problem.”

Palin is a puppet

and I'll just betcha Newt has got his fingers on the strings somewhere.... you betcha...

Not by any stretch of the imagination

The tea parties were hijacked. Sarah is the unwitting puppet selected to bring the disenchanted republicans back to the fold. Tragically it's working like clockwork as she is being egged on by angry neocon zombies and her own delusions of grandeur and ambition for power.

Palin.
Fox.
Beck.
The present tea parties.

Do not in any way shape or form represent Ron Paul or the r3volution. They are antithetical to our goals. The people that follow them are however getting angry and starting to wake up. If we're smart we can work with that. We need to get through to these potential patriots and turn the tide before they fall right back to sleep and the constitution is lost.

That's my take on it anyhow.

Thank you...

Most people, not even a great number of Ron Paul supporters, realize the tea parties were co-opted by Glenn Beck and FreedomWorks(Dick Armey) even before Obama was elected....

~wobbles but doesn't fall down~

Their job is to keep the GOP pro war

all the while give it the appearance of a sway to grassroots beliefs. Real conservatives are anti interventionists.

Palin is an ignorant

Palin is an ignorant numbskull. She has been brouight in so the elite can take over the Paul libertarian movement. When she comes out and says she supports Ron Paul and everything he stands for then she is welcome. Until then screw her.. if she is endorsing Rand, that is great. then she better endorse Medina. Is she still going to Texas to help Perry?

“Defiance of God’s Law will eventually bring havoc to a society.” - Dr. Ron Paul

Just look at her stances.

No.

Although she would dearly love to BE a representative of the Tea Party movement. The people she represents have been trying as hard as they can to put her there, as well.

The Tea Party movment, by the way, INCLUDES Ron Paul Republicans. It is not comprised entirely OF Ron Paul people.

Two different groups with a lot of overlaps.

:)

As far as I understand it,

As far as I understand it, the tea party movement started as an offshoot of our r3volution then gradually morphed (some might say co-opted) into what it is now.

...

Sarah Palin does NOT

speak for me and I would not vote for her either. I think she has a handler who is feeding her what to say and think. Just my two cents.
