My sincerest apologies to John Tate and his staff at C4L

After doing my own research into Ken Buck, I found an interview where he clearly spoke against undeclared wars and in following the Constitution.

I posted this interview a few times here for informational reasons.

Many folks owe the Campaign for Liberty an apology in my opinion.

People jumped to conclusions before having all the facts.

Granted, Buck needs to clarify the statement on his website regarding Afghanistan, but I gave C4L some benefit of the doubt.

I have donated to them because they have proven themselves in the past to be an efficient and liberty-supporting organization.

If they start supporting Neo-Cons, I'll be the first to jump off the bandwagon.

C4L, keep up the fight!

RJ is always looking for a wave to ride on, and then attempts to act as if he is leading, when in truth, he is only promoting RJ Harris.

You followed George Bush into Iraq, and even today you boast of your service in Iraq, still claiming that you were 'protecting our freedom and liberty'.

You're not a leader, you never were, and you never will be.

If the grassroots supports you.. Why doesnt the C4L?

I understand why C4L did what they did, but it does strike me as odd that they wouldnt extend the branch to a few truly grassroots candidates.

That question posed is why I donated. I hope you win. Im proud to support you.

For being a gentleman as well as a patriot.

This is politics afterall, and when we believe a major "shafting of the masses" has occured, we should get mad and angry. In the heat of the battle, tempers will flair due to the passion and emotions involved. In the end, I believe it is healthy to express your opinions and beliefs.

Those who opposed the incident that transpirted showed their true professionalism and maturity becuase they have now admitted they were wrong in publicly blasting the leaders of C4L. Everybody involved is better beuase of it. What a fantastic group of a people there are in the Liberty movement and especially the Campaign for Liberty. Kudo's to everyone and for acting like true Americans!

I am glad we have standards. I am glad we hold people accountable. We just need to be nicer about it. Your humble apology is testament to your charactor. Thanks for being in the movement. I wish I could send you a million dollars for your campaign.

Every time I read your posts I am impressed by your integrity, your principled stances and of course by how incredibly well thought out your writings are, including this one.

It is great to have people of your caliber and steadfast principle running for office. It is great that you used your pulpit here to call on C4L to explain itself when it seemed that they were spending lots of money on a candidate that clearly supports the ongoing wars.

It would have been so easy for you to ignore the issue, to write an ambiguous 'touchy feely' response, but you chose to jump in and express your thoughts. Thanks to you and many others who felt outrage at the issue and lack of credible explanations; the C4L reviewed their stance and reversed course on it.

If the C4L would not have been called on it, it is very possible that it would have continued to "endorse" or seem to endorse neocons, and they and the Liberty Movement would have been much worse off for it. You did a great favor to the C4L and the movement when you called them on their mistake. They agree with the criticism, they acknowledge their mistake, they would not have if they would not have been called on it, Thanks!

Loose cannons sink ships.

The common element in the last few grassroots uprisings have been war, occupation, torture and imprisonment.

This is the wedge issue that is being used in an effort to divide us for conquest.

We are free and responsible but we are also awake and more importantly alive. We know they have found our wedge issue. And they know we know, its all over the web.

But can a free people be divided when their end goal is liberty for all. Maybe, for a time when emotions, perceptions or instincts take control. But here we are on the other side. It's not be the first time that we have said, free at last, nor likely the last.

thanks again rj! we still pay these folks to already know what they're doing. the lesson learned should not be to de-friend and blacklist these people from the movement, but they should be replaced in my opinion. we argue about everything here at the dp. the founders came close to killing each other in their debates, but we all still come back to the same website, same movement. we're all still here.

We are in a long, hard struggle in our road to freedom. It has taken a century to convince the populace to give it away. It is going to take time and patience to convince them to take it back. Baby steps, and some falling down, are normal progressions in our journey.

Let's hang together guys..... get rid of the "action movie" mindset and realize that this is the REAL world. It is going to take passion mixed with wisdom and MUCH patience with the masses and with each other in order to get this done.
