OFFICIAL Start-Time is East-Coast MIDNIGHT Sunday.
OFFICIAL End-Time is West-Coast MIDNIGHT Monday
BEGIN $ Amount: $681,159.00
End $ Amount: $717,784.00
The Battle of the Alamo (February 23 – March 6, 1836) was a pivotal point in the Texas Revolution. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under the president of Mexico General Antonio López de Santa Anna launched an assault on the Alamo Mission in San Antonio de Béxar (modern-day San Antonio, Texas). All but two of the Texian defenders were killed. Santa Anna's perceived cruelty during the battle inspired many Texians—both Texas settlers and adventurers from the United States—to join the Texian Army. Buoyed by a desire for revenge, the Texians defeated the Mexican Army at the Battle of San Jacinto, on April 21, 1836, ending the revolution.
Several months previously, Texians had driven all Mexican troops out of Mexican Texas. Approximately 100 Texians were then garrisoned at the Alamo. The Texian force grew slightly with the arrival of reinforcements led by eventual Alamo co-commanders James Bowie and William B. Travis. On February 23, approximately 1,500 Mexican troops marched into Béxar as the first step in a campaign to re-take Texas. For the next 12 days the two armies engaged in several skirmishes with minimal casualties. Aware that his garrison could not withstand an attack by such a large force, Travis wrote multiple letters pleading for more men and supplies, but fewer than 100 reinforcements arrived.(from Wikipdia)
A great Congressman was part of that Battle. He was known as the Peoples Congressman by the people he represented. He was not well liked by his peers in the House, they treated him like a "Kook". Sound Familiar?
We may not have a Great Congressman standing up and voicing support for our beloved Debra Medina, but they only had an X-Congressman at the Alamo, DAVID (Davy) Crocket.
40 Years after the Alamo
15 February 1876 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEXAS
On that precious day, Texas' Founding Fathers, who fought so hard and died for Texas' freedom from Mexico, helped establish our Texas to be "a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States". This Constitutional Republic would respect the rights of all individuals, as well as the sovereignty of Texas, from all unconstitutional mandates from Washington, DC.(from medinamoneybomb.com)
Not much is needed to force a run-off, let alone WIN IT OUTRIGHT. Look at this:

We should do a vote bomb instead where we all get a friend or family member from tx to vote for her.

My frank assessment
is that this money bomb was WAY underwhelming when compared to Rand Paul's. Money raised is an important indication of voter support, particularly when that money consists of thousands of small donations from private individuals vs. clusters of political action committees, unions, and company-wide aggregations.
Far more money might have been raised had Ron Paul endorsed Medina and sent out a mailing to his fund-raising list. I noticed no emails to prior donors to donate again, nor where there any YouTube videos promoting the money bomb. Even the lack of a real-time fund-raising chart hurt the effort in my opinion. If Debra has a fund-raising chairperson in her campaign, then that person needed to have these elements in mind and put them into effect.
Like many, I was hopeful that a love-fest between Medina and Beck would flood the campaign with donations, volunteers, and unstoppable momentum. When it turned out instead to have been a grisly hatchet job I think many were crestfallen and believed Beck's pronouncement that she was toast. Although many defiantly contributed more to Medina I fear a greater number decided to wash their hands of the campaign. In other words, the majority of her support was squishy.
I ardently hope to be dead wrong in this assessment but that is where I think we are right now. Question is, where do we go from here? Would Ron Paul change his mind and endorse? Would he do a mailing for Debra? If so, a far more successful money bomb that raises $1 million or more might be possible, but Ron may feel it would damage his list to use it against Perry.
Ideas anyone?
New Hampshire and Ecuador.
i don't think money

Just donated!
Just donated!

Just threw in another $100
Regarding the jumpy numbers: When I first went to the site the ticker was showing a number lower than the "official start" value. After several reload tries and a move away-back it bumped up to the $778,659 figure. It didn't change after my donation.
I think what's happening is something at the site is (or between it and us) is cacheing the flash that generates the ticker.
If that's the case, the highest number we see is probably closest to the real number, and jumps are normal when you finally get the cache to reload.

"Obama’s Economists: ‘Stimulus’ Has Cost $278,000 per Job."
That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.
Now wait just a darned minute!
The rolling total raised now says $714,123. I copied and pasted that number from Medina's site, the same as I did the number in the post below, so it's not attributable to MY error.
Are these totals being entered manually by a campaign worker?
New Hampshire and Ecuador.
ok, I am working with one
ok, I am working with one hand here. It probably is though...
