Many of us have seen scenarios like this before; in order to get a search warrant for the home, the government uses a mere accusation that July4Patriot sodomized his own 7 year old daughter. The government does not care, nor properly investigate if the accusation is even remotely true. Once in the home, the government searches for anything "illegal" to seize and arrest him for under the thousands of unconstitutional federal laws in existence. Then he's made guilty in the state controlled media before any evidence has ever been presented in court.

speaker I can imagine they saw him as a real threat. To bad he didn't run for office I think a lot of people would have voted for him. Everybody should run for office maybe that is the only way to get the truth before the public.

Maybe he can beat the charges, but it sounds like they've got him pretty well trapped with the unconstitutional arms infringements, unless he can fight it all the way to the Supreme Court.

The biggest problem is that many are jumping to the conclusion that he is guilty of these outrageous allegations before any evidence has even been shown in court. It's all based upon what could be a lie.
We certainly know how unreliable the media and government are.

They ask for our thoughts and prayers in this troubling time. They also asked me to pass along a request and plea from both the family, and Charles himself.
They wish to allow the legal system to run it's course. The family has a good attorney, and are confident that the charges can be challenged.

He may have been charged with 2 crimes
One at the county level (state)
One at the federal level (weapons)
It would be worthwhile to search the county records for the other charge, to see if it's already been thrown out.
One defense could be the search was "fruit of a poisonous tree". If the first charge is baseless.

The original accusation that resulted in the search warrant was at the county level. However, since he is being charged federally too, apparently he will have to face the federal charges first. So it may be some time until he has a chance to prove that the original accusation was fraudulent to begin with? Or he may even be found guilty federally, before he has a chance to defend against the original accusation?
And even if he bonds out federally, then the county has a warrant for him:
"Dyer is in federal custody and has a warrant for his arrest in Stephens County. If he's bonded out of federal jail, he'll be taken into custody by county authorities."

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A federal grand jury has indicted a Marlow man for unlawful possession of a grenade launcher.
U.S. Attorney Sanford Coats said Wednesday that 29-year-old Charles Alan Dyer is charged with unlawful possession of an unregistered destructive device.
The indictment says Dyer possessed a Colt M-203, 40-millimeter grenade launcher on Jan. 12 although it was not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Records.
The indictment also seeks forfeiture of the device.
If convicted, Dyer faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

As far as I'm concerned, a grenade launcher is an arm, which is forbidden by law from having any infringements such as registration.

is that Grenade launchers have been sold as flare guns for years with no restrictions.He would have had to have actual grenades with it to be a violation.

Wow, up to 10 years in prison for not doing the proper paperwork. I could see if the guy used the weapon and hurt somebody with it, but 10 years simply for not doing some paperwork sure seems at least a little excessive.

Constitution of the United States of America, Amendment II:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Paperwork and a tax stamps are infringements on the right to bear arms. It's almost no different than the King requiring our founding fathers to have the Kings tax stamp on every single document. Then at any time, the King's troops could search everything in your home to ensure that you had the Kings stamp on all papers!

We are not free if the government tells us what, where, and how we can own things, especially arms.
Now if someone commits a crime using arms, then they should be punished. But just owning any arm is not a crime itself.

One such "ridiculously abusive" quasi governmental agency, the IRS, has historically and presently continues violating each and every Federal law within the 64,000 pages of the Internal Revenue Code (Title 26 of The United Annotated Code).

I would consider this the greatest violator of the Constitution.
The constitution says that no state shall make anything but gold and silver legal tender, and we have the Federal Reserve bank and government forcing paper dollars upon the the states.
Not only that, but it is a counterfeiter, stealing money from Americans through both fiat currency inflation and fractional reserve banking.

That's a good question. I assume not.
Otherwise, we would not have all the infringements against our right to keep and bear arms.
Maybe Dyer can fight his case all the way! That would be cool.
The BATFE should clearly be abolished - it violates the very law they swear to uphold, making them all criminals against the nation. The BATFE does more damage to our law than Al Qaida could ever dream of doing.
