So the "subtle" message is: YOU CAN'T QUESTION MY CITIZENSHIP! The question is not whether he is a US CITIZEN, but is he is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. Huge difference. Only a NBC can be president. His father was NOT a citizen of the USA, and therefore (based on the law) he is NOT a Natural Born CItizen, and not eligible to be president. He knows this, that why he is spending millions.
PS I also think GWB should be tried for war crimes, and crimes against the American people!
