NPR Disinformation

I just heard three pundits talking about the latest unemployment figures on the NPR Diane Reems show. Without exception, they all saw the 9.7% unemployment rate, from 10%, as a positive sign, even if it was rather meager, and even if it still meant an additional 20,000 people had lost their jobs in January.
When I got to work, I saw that the stock market had dropped another 51 points on a bad jobs report. Elizabeth Strott on MSN wrote:
"The economy sheds 20,000 jobs, but unemployment falls to 9.7% as more people stop looking for work."
If you listened to Diane Reems for your economic news, you'd think Obama's stimulus was working its' magic.

NPR was what caused me to become a Ron Paul fanatic
I was listening to NPR every day at work because I couldn't stand Hannity, Rush, etc. (I knew the war was based on lies). NPR at least seemed they got that part of the problem. So I called in once, twice, three times trying to get them to support Ron Paul and every presenter I talked to shot me down-Juan Williams "Ron Paul's too iconoclastic" Another told me Paul's economic theories were "laughable".
Long story short, I only listen to NPR to hear when I can call in to heckle them-and they've even taken the fun out of that-every call is meticulously screened.
So THANK GOD for Ron Paul Radio in 2008 and GCN networks. Without them I'd probably have to launch my own blogstation!

NPR actually introduced me to
NPR actually introduced me to Ron Paul sometime in '07. I had never heard of him before, and their interview with him was fair and enlightening and unlike anything I've ever heard from any politician before. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and have been a fan of his ever since.
But yeah, Diane Rehm? Uugh! You don't have to say anything more.
And NPR's sponsors? Same thing. It's apparent what their bias would be.
I listen to NPR every day
Morning Edition and All Things considered.
I kept count of how many times they mentioned Ron Paul during the 2008 race. That interview was literally one of three times they mentioned Ron Paul's name; that's three mentions of RP in a whole year! So it's actually a huge coincidence that you were introduced to Ron Paul through NPR.

3 times mentioned on NPR?
[sarcasm] 3 times mentioned on NPR? Wow, they gave him more coverage than all the other news outlets combined. [/sarcasm]
Yeah, of all places, I'm introduced to him from NPR. Strange indeed.

most stations will not even play democracy now because amy goodman criticizes the president a bit too much for them. that's sad.
And ADM

That's why they shill for ethanol so much.
And the way they shill for Apple and Twitter, I'd be willing to bet they're paying their bills too.

Last year, one of NPR's host was marginalizing Ron Paul.
As the democrats made their sychophantic "case", when the republican side was made, she cut away, and all you heard was her praising the social-fascist democratic platform, I mean, total marginalization . . . even the "station break" came as the republicans spoke.
Lot's of neocons feel that NPR is gospel.
And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”
NPR is finding itself marginalized
Even PBS is still banning the RP word.
